Again, I highly doubt that. It could mess up games while playing or gamesaves, but it doesn't have the capability to mess up hardware in a permanent fashion.  It was more likely a coincidence.

Well it's easy to say that if you're all leveled up, but try fighting Culex at level 16 like I did.  Without the trueform pin.  In Japanese.

Or they were going to put "Advance" as a separate sprite, but decided to put 4 in the name instead.
Looking at the boxart, the logo actually looks like a combination of the beta and final versions (it has the chipped stone look, but also the 4).
