Pt_peach: Thanks a lot!  That's interesting.

CW: I've heard about that but I don't know if I believe it.  It definitely could be true but I'm just not sure.  Scientists can have great ideas and discoveries from research, but what if some of them don't share the information that goes against what they want people to believe? (I know-- by now I sound like a paranoid disbeliever XD)  And how is it possible that the coelecanth fish is alive today when it was supposed to have gone extinct 70 million years ago?  That doesn't really apply to the coexisting thing, but sometimes mistakes in science can happen.  Sorry for disagreeing again.

I also used to think that L is real but thankfullly I gave up soon after searching for awhile.  I thought that the numbers after "L is real" were a code for the number of times you pound the four posts in Bob-Omb Battlefield or something, but nothing worked.  It was still fun for awhile though.  I wonder if Luigi will show up in Super Mario Galaxy or if they'll keep up the tradition of ditching him.

It may seem rediculous to believe in any of those things but don't forget that there's some things we can never disprove as long as there are unexplored, locations, planets, and possibly dimensions in the universe.

Oh, excuse me for that.  I thought you meant that you would only play video games to relieve stress and do nothing else.  That's another story.  I'm sorry for saying that without thinking, and for the situation with your mom.  I would be so heartbroken if that happened to me.

I would hate to live that long.  There were a lot of strange things mentioned in the old Testament before the Flood (like the Nephilim in Genesis 6).  Maybe the Flood changed a lot of things in the world after it took place, like age spans somehow.  And maybe God had to keep him alive long enough to repopulate the world!

"Oh man!  What if we're the last of our kind?  We'll have to repopulate the entire world!"
"How?  Everyone we know is either a dude or our sister!"

LD: I meant that global warming could be a small problem that is blown up to look like a huge problem to take money.  Not that I know this is the case or that anyone/everyone does it, but I just have a bad feeling about it.  On the other hand, I suppose that anyone could do that, even those who deal with well-known causes like starvation.

Fuzzy: I agree with them about the balancing thing.  We can't force people to accept our views and we have to find a sane balance in life so we don't lose our minds.  I'm sorry about your disappointment but we have to find things that aren't too difficult to do but could still make a big difference.  I try to save energy where I can.

Kojinka: That's probably not a good idea-- trying to escape reality.  I used to do the same thing and found myself losing out on many of the good things in life.  Life is terrible at times but it can also be wonderful too.  If you're going through rough times I hope you'll make it through.

Glorb: >_< Legos rule!  They stretch your creativity and teach you about building skills while you're a kid!  When I was young I loved legos and built lots of cool junk.  Mostly stuff like little buildings and ramps that you could roll marbles around.  Never dis' da 'go's!

CW and Vid: Lol, yeah I know.  I'm trying to experiment with new ideas and maybe this isn't the best.  I enjoy learning new things from people and passing it on, and thought that maybe others would too.

Fuzzy: I'm thankful for your concern.  I think that most people don't think about this topic very much because (1 they don't understand it, (2 they don't believe it,(3 they don't want to make the huge changes in their life, or (4 they don't think there's any way to stop it.  For myself I kind of worry that it could be just a scheme for taking money (to use for other purposes).  But I do think that we should be responsible with how we treat the environment and I'll try to find out more about this soon.

Markio: Yay, Dragon Tales! XD

Being Healthier

I'm reading a book called Seismic Shifts (how to make little changes in life with big results) and it talked about very simple things you can do to start losing weight and feeling better.
1: eat your food slower and enjoy it, and stop eating as soon as you feel satisfied but not full. So... you want to be ^_^ and not X_X.
2: drink a lot more water instead of pop/soda and other carbonated drinks.  At first I grew irritated from drinking so much but found out how much this can help with a lot of things
3: plan on what you're going to eat before you start a meal, how much you're going to eat, and decide when to stop eating
4. exercise (duh).  Find activities that are fun to do and also get you in shape (such as sports and DDR!).  But be careful not to overdo it.
5. Take off one day a week to relax and not work as hard as you usually do.  Rushing around 7 days a week can make you really tired or even sick.  You can focus better after a break.
6. Don't worry abou things you can't control.

Interesting.  I would like to know more about those stories.  Do you think that there's any physical evidence of a giant flood have happening in one place in the world?

Unlike most people, I like to think that Noah brought dinosaurs on the ark with him.  If they were infants when they got on then they could still fit.  Genesis did say they had two of every creature.  That's just my thought.

Recently I read a magnificant, mind-blowing book called "For Men Only: A Straightforward Guide to The Inner Lives of Women".  This really opened up my mind to the ways that most women may think and what they really want in life.  Do you think that it's impossible to understand women?  Think again.  Seriously, I think that all men should read this book before they get in a relationship with a girl because this stuff could save your behind!  While I read it I began to realize why so many couples argue about things you would think of as simply dumb and not worth fighting about.  It's because men and women have different needs and see things in different ways!  As I read through every chapter of the short book I literally gasped out loud and refused to believe my mind.  It all made perfect sense and sounded so right.  Seven little facts that can make a great difference.

I wish that I had the book with me to give a quick overview, but I'm not at home right now, but maybe some other time.  I hope that this information can prepare me to become a more understanding friend to girls and a better husband to my wife (if I do get married).  Excuse me for raving and advertising there.

Currently I'm reading the book "Seismic Shifts" which deals with making tiny little changes in your life that have a huge impact in everything you do-- faith, health, relationships, and more.  I think everyone should read both of these books, especially Seismic Shifts.

Last night I saw the good movie "Count of Mounte Christo" with a bunch of friends and I enjoyed that.  It confused me for awhile (a lot of movies like that do) but I understood what was going on at the end.  You just can't help but get so angry from seeing what happens to Edmund and feel great about his attitude through it all.  I wish there was more sword fighting though.

Hey there again!  I didn't think that I would get a new topic idea so soon, but when I feel like I get inspiration to create or do something, I can't rest until I get it done!

This topic is about the important things that you learn in life and what you want other people to know too. What are you learning from in books, movies, experiences, etc that we need to learn?  You can talk about things like education too, but I prefer to stick with lessons in life.  I also suggest that you let people know what you will talk about before you begin so they don't have to read the whole thing to find out.  Like, make a heading of what you are going to talk about such as "Truth and Consequences" (I underlined this paragraph and another so people would know it's the most imporant ones).  We can consider what kind of boundaries to have for this later.

Maybe you think that you already know everything there is too know--like I use to think-- but now I'm really beginning to see how little I know and how much I can still learn.  And even if there are things you already know, sometimes we have to hear them a few times to really remember them.  That's the way I am at least.

One thing to mention, I want to say that I didn't copy The Fungi Gazette with this idea so you don't have to arrest me and throw me in the TMK Dungeon of Bread XD.  Second, I bet that some people may feel like I'm just making this topic as another way to talk about my beliefs and religion, but that's not the case at all.  I might talk about stuff like that later, but I'll try to have some restraint so I don't scare people away.  Now I'll share what I have learned (in a way)

Women Can Be Understood!

(I sure hope this idea hasn't been done before ^_^:)

Not only that but who the crap believes in all of those mythical creatures for. THEY DON'T EXIST, THEY'RE MYTHS!

Sorry to bump, but I just remembered something I wanted to say.

Some creatures that people have called mythical in the past have actually turned out to be real later.  For instance, some people believed the gorilla was a monster born from a demon (I think) and that it ate people.  Then we discovered that this creature actually DID exist but it didn't act like these people said it did.  So ordinary creatures that could exist but we haven't found yet, are given super powers or legends and they make us think that they couldn't be real.  But maybe they are and just don't live like that!  Here's the link where I heard about this: http://www.newanimal.org/pongo.htm

Quote
According to African folklore, the pongo was a wild man of the jungles. Looking like a cross between a human and a monkey, he was a violent creature with magical powers. He relished the taste of human flesh, often raiding villages in order to carry away captives for purposes of cannibalism or rape. Sometimes the pongo was a shapeshifter. Female pongos would turn into beautiful women to get close to male victims, then change back to their true forms when it was too late for the men to escape. Pongos and humans could mate and produce hybrid children who looked human, but who had violent, cannibalistic urges from their pongo side.

Pongo reports were understandably met with much skepticism in the scientific community. The pongo had so many supernatural characteristics and behaviors not typical of a biological animal that it just didn't seem like it would ever turn out to be real. These aspects of the pongo from folklore squarely place it within the "big hairy monster" or "hairy biped" category of anomalous cousins of Bigfoot.

The entire world was surprised when, in 1847, the pongo (now known as the gorilla) was officially declared to exist. Of course, it didn't have any of the weird characteristics assigned to it by folklore. The real gorilla is a vegetarian, not a predator. It doesn't capture humans, it doesn't eat humans, and it can't reproduce with humans. Its official discovery hasn't stopped the flow of legends that claim otherwise, but now science can clearly separate the gorilla of myth and the real animal. Still, the animal's outlandish mythical features were acknowledged in its very name: "gorilla" is derived from the Arabic word for "ghoul."

The story of the pongo's official discovery teaches us that any cryptid, however fantastic it seems, might be real. Supernatural or fantastical characteristics are no reason to disqualify a cryptid from further investigation. In fact, European folklore from little more than a hundred years ago assigns many supernatural abilities and odd behaviors to real animals such as wolves, eagles and mice. We now know that these superstitious ideas are false, even though the animals themselves are indisputably real.

So, we should remember that we probably don't know everything about this world right now and that there's got to be plenty more great things to discover.  Not that all mythical creatures are real but not that all aren't either.  If we shut our minds to new thoughts and ideas then we set ourselves up to never learn anything new (or fool ourselves into believing lies).  The world was only flat for those who believed it was.

(I said all of that stuff just as a reminder and not to anyone in particular)

XD I love that.  And I love this topic.  Three thumbs up.

What amuses me?  I laugh at funny thoughts I get in my head that anyone else would call stupid or insane.  I love comics like Dilbert, Garfield, and Far Side.  Dilbert is rediculous office humor, Garfiled is funny overweight/stupidity jokes, and Far Side is... far out there.  I also like Bible jokes too.  Like one year I was working in the kitchen of a Bible camp and one day was temporarily in charge of getting more cereal when we ran out.  So this girl in line for food asked me if I could get her some Life cereal because we had ran out.  So I left, came back with a box, and then said, "I have to come to give you life more abundantly!"  Ha, you have to know it.

I also like random jokes, pointlessness, and obnoxiousness as long as it doesn't cross the line*.

* This line that Y.R. speaks of is in his own definition and held to be judged by his own ideas.  Not all obnoxiousness may be judged the same way in all situations and all feelings.  Results may vary.  Please ask a doctor about this if you are nursing, pregnant, or may become pregnant.

Chup: Good point.  I guess that's another area that also takes faith.  I've heard about stories that are based on Noah's Ark and maybe some of these are true or partially true.

Happy early birthdays to Serafina Pekkela (man, that's hard to type!) and the ever so GiftedGirl! (Let's see all the great Homestar Runner gifts you get XD)

Sapphira: I really agree with you, and I appreciate your consideration of my freedom.  I do wish I could say whatever I want about myself to anyone, but I just don't think that's smart.  This site definitely feels very safe but I doubt that any place on the internet is completely safe.  No offense to anyone, but there's no way to know how everyone really acts and if they actually do bad things.  I don't want to give hints that could lead dangerous people to me or my family, and I would really regret.  If it was just me getting hurt or embarrassed I could live with that, but if someone else got hurt or I died, then that's another story.  Yes, I probably sound Super Paranoid Bros. but I'm going to follow their wishes anyway just in case.  Mostly because I care about them too much and I want to obey what the Bible says about obeying your parents.

As I typed this post I couldn't help but think of that scene in "The Jerk" where that one guy kept chasing Steve Martin around and trying to shoot him XD.
