I suggest giving it a shot anyway. Use your moonjump code to go very high and try to get through the barrier to Corona Mountain. If you succeed, I will be able to make a video of me completing the entire game with the minimal number of Shine Sprites possible.

I was talking about inside Corona Mountain but I realized how you meant it. So yeah, I tried it and I got through. EXPECT apparently the game doesn't trigger the entrance until the gate is off, so this pretty much ruins your plan. But isn't there a certain mission that triggers the flood or is it a certain number of shine sprites? I can't remember.

Edit: I managed to get out of level in Ricco Harbor. It's actually more interesting then I thought. Apparently you can get really close to Gleato Beach. Anyway, there are 2 other findings I've found so far. One is an odd stone structure that is placed high above the mountains. I'll check if this is viewable in the normal level. Behind it there are palm trees, I'm guessing it's supposed to be Pinata Village (Sorry for spelling). Either way, I find it interesting that there's an actually high level of detail in something that you can barely see. And BTW neither the stone or the trees are accessible, unfortunately. The other thing I found is an odd slope under the gate which leads to the blooper surfing level. Basically, if you get in there while it's closed, for some odd reason there's an invisible slope behind it. I can't explain this...maybe there was something planned behind there but they had to hide it with the entrance to the level?

Get a TV capture device. Your camera is awful.

I've seen worse, I recorded it on my phone, and it's not a big deal because this is my first video IF I ever make more? Jeez,
Cool! I didn't think that the Blooper Surfing level would have the same background as those "Secret of _____" levels.
Yeah me neither. Any other places I should try? I can't think of any more off my head...typically the regular worlds don't work as well. I've noticed some areas are programmed better then others. The better programmed ones have the "hard" wall (aka as far as I know impossible to bypass). I'm pretty sure it's not possible for Corona Mountain.

And there's this thing called the XYZ mod, which is an AR code which lets you legit go anywhere. But the code is so long, and I don't know any other ways to put it in thats not manual. I have an AR Max with version 1.14 if anyone can help me with that.

Yeah, so I made a video of it...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ5wFQp5wYE

The quality is pretty good for being recorded on my phone. Anyway so I bet no one cares but slowly deciphering how the level boundaries work in SMS. Any wall-jumpable invisible wall you can bypass, any wall that is solid you can't, and any wall that half-freezes mario brings you into the "blue-zone". (A variation of the "purple zone". Both are the colors you see when you're under the map. Purple as far as I know is only found in Delfino Plaza and kills you if you stay on it too long, and blue doesn't kill you.) Also, I got pretty far out of bounds in Gelato Beach. I actually almost got to Ricco Harbor FROM Gelato Beach. And I recorded that.

1. Rare isn't making this. Retro Studios is.

2. DK has the same voice he's had since Jungle Beat. Listen for it.

1. NO I MISREAD THAT AS RARE....

:((((

2. Never played Jungle Beat lol.

I like it. Anyone else notice that Diddy's jetpacks from DK64 return? And YES finally. Rare is freaking amazing at making games so I'm placing high bets on DKCR. And the voices DK has sound DKish for once. Now we need to get a DK64 sequel...I would even go for a DK64 DS.

Needs a MAJOR anti-aliasing job.

Otherwise to me it just looks like DS graphics with 2x more polygons.

I can't freaking beat the purple coin level on the galaxy with the chain chomps and the switching platforms...ugh.

Also anyone else here absolutely hate the screwed up controls when fighting the Megaleg boss? I lost like 5 lives cause of it...

Paint.net is the [dukar]. It's easy to use and with enough experince you can pretty much recreate anything you can do in Photoshop with enough effects. And that was like 2 years ago, imagine how it is now.

Despite controversy, the levels actually look good and inspired.
Technically speaking, that planetoid shaped like Mario's head is a hub of sorts, but it doesn't suffice in my books.
:/
Plus that would be the most uninspired hub...(Unintentionally contradicting what I said above, but still...)

Let me think...

8 worlds, so each world is one place, but with say, about 10 missions on that. That's only 80 stars. It would take about 24 worlds to get exactly 240 stars. There's bonus levels too, so say 22 worlds, with 20 bonus stars (SM64 had 15.) Give or take, it'll be like that. Of course there will probably be secret stars too...

This are the three most popular suggestions on what Mario might have said when kicking Bowser's tail, just for the record.

1. So long de Bowser
(2. So long eh Bowser)
3. So long-a Bowser

As opposed to previous generations' weakest vermin, I always make a point of killing every Bidoof or Bibarel I come across, rather than simply running from them. Something about their oblivious gaze incites a passionate wrath within me. In my opinion,

Sentret > Ratatta > Zigzagoon > Bidoof.

For me it's like...

Zigzagoon > Sentret > Rattata > Bidoof

I actually think of Sentret and Zigzagoon the same, but since Ruby was my first game (shoot me; I did eventually buy and beat Gold, Silver, Red, etc. so I'm not a nub.) I guess I have sort of a soft spot for it. Plus it is, arguably the most useful "useless vermin" once you evolve it to Linoone. I don't really have anything to say about Sentret or Furret besides the fact that they're cool. Ratatta, meh. Bidoof...I can't beleive Game Freak actually spammed this piece of sh*t Pokemon all over Sinnoh.

Also I laughed my ass off on the other page when I saw people were comparing the new Pokemon to Lucario because I posted the exact same thing on another forum.

I reserved it a few months ago and I can'r wait to get it tomorrow. ;D

Wow, that was amazing! ;D It didn't look like a TAS to me though...cause I can apparently tell because I've played it a lot (this was one of my first games I got ever, and if you multiply how long it is plus my age, plus my attention span at that age, then that means I probably played it longer then the norm when I was trying to beat it. I should try a speed run one day...

They also took out a clip of Mario making a sound when you do the dive thing, because it sort of sounded like Mario was saying "F*ck you".
