Nintendo's Mario website has been updated, featuring links to all current Mario titles as well as a Mario trivia game and a Mario-themed memory game. Most TMK readers should be able to easily get a perfect score on the trivia game.

I think the trivia questions are from the same batch that appeared on the 3DS Nintendo Zone when it first launched.

It does exist. To play it, you need to be in a 2-player game of SMB3. Then move to the other player's icon on the map screen and press A.

This makes it sound like the Mario Bros are in the mafia: beating people up and leaving them in the sewers.
