Hmm... does anyone else think this topic should get its own thread in General Chat?

I like to believe that time doesn't exist.

What are seconds?  A second just went by, and it can never come back.  And you don't know what will happen exactly in future seconds.  You can remember past seconds, but they aren't coming back, you're thinking about them in the present.  But what is the present?  The moment you count a second, it's already gone by.  And the second before you hasn't happened yet.  By the time the future seconds come, they go right into the past.

So again, I like to believe that time doesn't exist.

Time exists, you just cannot control your constant forward motion in it. Imagine moving along a line at constant velocity. For each time, you're in a different spot and can never go back...but you're still moving through something - that's the point.

Do you also deny gravity, since you cannot control it?

Well, excuse me for enjoying my little life of illusion!  No, I'm just kidding, I know what you're saying.  But still, all these little theories about time and space always end up with people persuading me to change my mind, which I am perfectly fine with(I'm perfectly fine with my mind, I mean).  So I guess I'll just leave this topic and go find some other topic.  Ooh, Fortuna...

(BTW, I'd answer your gravity question, but I keep floating away from my keyboard.)

Hmm... I'm gonna give this topic its own Thread in General Chat. No one else post here. Instead, go to my thread "Scientific Theories" in General Chat.
