To recap:

The World's Trade Center has been partially destroyed, three buildings have been wiped off the face of the earth and nearly 20,000 people from hereandabouts are missing and presumed dead.

The pentagon sustained severe damage to one of it's five sides and some 700(?) people are supposedly have died.

The question remins: why ***** to oneanother over trivial things like what someone has to say than talk about the real issues? i don't mean to discount what Yago or the rest of you have to say, but don't you think there other things that could be discussed on this topic? I can think of quite a few...

- Missile strikes
- Rebuilding the WTC
- Cleanup
- Sale price of postcards with the Twin Towers still on them
- Effects to the world economy
- Impact on air travel

I dont mean to come off as a jacka55, but cursing left right and center (as I have done) wont do much good, nor will hurling insults. Obviously I cant stop you, all I'd like to say is there is a bigger issue than who will end up in the society column of the Mario Press.

Yago: You make a good point. Not a popular one, but all points are worth considering.

    Life is valuable. Always.
If you take another human life you should usually pay with yor own, even if I dont support this kind of punishment. it varies with circumstances.

Lives should not, and cannot, be traded fairly.

New York will never be the same.
The USA will never be the same.
The world...
the world is still spinning. That's enough for today.

God bless.

« on: September 22, 2001, 03:08:24 AM »
Kamek is 55?
Even so, turtles can live for more than 200 years, so that's considered young among turtles. Look at Bowser - he's been stomped, fried, pummelled and shot and yet he still fights, looking as good as new (although the dimensions [number and size] have varied somewhat). He's one durable turtle!

Kamek can also fly, which give him the advantage of being able to evade anything thrown at him.

316 - You hold out your arms when you run
(My count says this is #316, is that right?)

317 - You staple wings to all your hats...
318 - ...except the invisible ones...
319 - ...or the ones that are made out of stainless steel.

320 - You get a concussion from smashing your head into the ceiling.

321 - You find yourself constantly looking up and to the right, trying to find out what your 'score' is.

323 - You heartlessly smash, stomp or pulvarize any and every turtle you see, even ashtrays. (This may have been mentioned already)

324 - You think midgets are impotent toads.

325 - You staple wings to turtles before smashing them.

326 - The only part of your body that is visible is your face.

327 - You get arrested for holding up trffic after becoming lodged in a New York manhole.

328 - Some of your plants have teeth.

Mario Chat / Re: Super SMASH Bros. 2 is rated "TEEN"!
« on: September 08, 2001, 03:54:30 AM »
If you ask me, the ESRB has never seemed to work in the way it should. Some games get really weak ratings for what they are (not that I care) and some get rated way to harshly.

I've wondered many-a-time how Conker's Bad Fur Day didn't get AOed (rather than Mature).

Of course, this may be why people don't ask me more things.

Mario Chat / Re: Originality in danger? Another Sonic Rant
« on: September 08, 2001, 03:40:51 AM »
My clone talkshow wasn't meant to divert traffic from Marionut's. I only started the thread so that people could unload pointless questions onto me instead of cluttering up a perfectly good post. I have this problem all the time when I end up with idiotic little thoughts I just want to get off of my chest. Think of it as overflow parking for dumb thoughts.
It was designed to be a landfill for off-topic topics so as not to irritate people with moot points, but also allow free conversations.

My 'vs.' topics were out of sheer curiousity. I didn't realize they were irritating people so I'll stop asking. No offense was ever intended by these threads and I'd withdraw them if I could.

No offense meant,

Mario Chat / Re: Bowser should be dropped...

Bowser has his intellegent moments; look at SMRPG: he was bright enough to team up with Mario (or something like that) rather than go it alone...

He also seems to be getting rather paranoid (reference: responses to any of Kammy's plans in Paper Mario).

I agree with Roy, too. He's a well known character. While it would be good to see some oldies return now and then (Wart, Birdo), let's not forget where it all started (and I don't mean Donkey Kong).

Just a thought.
