Looks better than mine, but let's see what it looks like with the others.

I thought the point was to have one per system.

If that is the case, then SMS fits better.  SSBM is part of the SSB series.  SMS is more part of Super Mario series which is represented for the NES, SNES, and N64.  If the point were to have a representation of diverse gameplay then SMB2 should be there for the NES.  If the best Mario games were the point then SMB3 should be represented for the NES.

We know.  The letters don't exactly line up either, but I fixed Mario's size and the blue lines.  Since I can't post tables, the html works but leave spaces.  Check out http://www.geocities.com/dr_shows/index6.html to see it without the space and with the pixel fade-in effect, or go to http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk to see the current splash page.

What of the hand-held[hyphenated?] systems? Mario from Mario & luigi: Superstar Saga?

Note that all the other Marios are their actual in-game graphic. You're using rendered art from Sunshine, not the in-game Mario like it should be.

Getting there, though.

How about this one screenshot for reference?

The new splash screen is not going to look like the old one, so you can stop wasting your time.

nintendoexpert89, that screenshot is where I got my image from.  I think the other one looks cooler, but as stated it is not from the game.

What will the new spash screen look like?

So, when will we have a new splash screen?

You could post it here, and let the people that come here the most rate it...

I like in-game better. The other one YZ provided just looks too... what is it... spiffy, I suppose. It looks to "not in game," I guess.

Plus, all of the other ones are from in-game shots.

Post the new splash screen here. Let's take a look.

I liked the election splash screens, but since they are no longer being used is there a new screen in the works or will there possibly be a new image added?

Is TMK waiting on a new Mario game or a new console before changing the splash screen?  A Mario game on the Revolution would fit nicely.

Here's my example again:

1981
1985
1991
1996
2001
2002

I know you want a in-game image.  My SMS art is just an example.

The SSBM one needs to go because it would be like putting a SMK shot for the SNES. No, there can't be both. Yes, the SMS Mario must be from the game. None of the others were images.

I also just noticed the .ico mushroom isn't on the splash screen.

Edit: It isn't on the classicgaming.com/tmk or themushroomkingdom.net splash screens.

You could put a pic of Steve Hawkings, assuming the splash page is showing the evolution of Mario.

It's not a big deal, but on http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/about.shtml the copyright information should be changed to 1997-2005.

And in Super Smash Bros Melee, The Banzai Bill trophy says that the Banzai Bill first appeared in Super Mario Brothers, when that is the first game BULLET Bill appeared in, and Banzai Bill first appeared in Super Mario WORLD.

Uh, what? My game calls the trophy "Bullet Bill." Did they change it to Banzai Bill in later versions?

They probably did change it in later versions, because my copy doesn't have the "Daisy's Third Eye" either.  Plus I checked the trophy name and it said Banzai Bill, with the pic of the Banzai Bill from Peach's castle level.

Why would they change his name?  Can you take a picture?

(I knew that removed the 3rd eye and made a few other changes, but a different name for an insignificant trophy that there wasn't anything wrong with to begin with?)
