How much did it cost to get these forums up and running, or did it cost anything? (I am only talking about the forums, not the site, I know it costs money to run a site.) Thanks, the reason for this is because, these forums inspire me to make my own.

I didn't think it would be free, but was that for the first server, or this one?

It's free. You can click on the link towards the bottom in "Fungi Forums | Powered by SMF 1.1 RC1." to be whisked away to simplemachines.org, where even you can become a forum administrator, provided you have an account on a server that supports MySQL and PHP and such and you are allowed to install it.
