I'm asking because I often do all five. But you didn't hear it from me.
-
Since I listen to classic rock, I sing along and headbang, and when you listen to Stairway To Heaven you have to pretend to smash the guitar.HAVE TO!
-
I don't air guitar at all.
Air drumming, on the other hand...
(Oh, but head banging is fun. It's a must in Bohemian Rhapsody, especially if you have long hair.)
-
It's actually required by law to headbang in Bohemian Rhapsody.
-
Air Guitaring rocks! It makes me feel like I'm playing the music.
-
All but sing along.
I got one of those preschool guitars way back, and a smashed it into five pieces after consectutive banging.
-
I agree with Vidgmchtr and Glorb.

I generally air guitar and drum and occasionally mouth words along to music.

^ This officially makes you stupid in my eyes. Sorry.
-
Ah well, I'll bet you do stupid things too...:P
Anyway, I don't really air drum, I use my hands to drum various things, like my desk or lap.
-
I don't do any of those. I guess I'm a boring air guitarist.
-
I try to avoid doing stupid things as much as possible.

Have you seen the "Air to the Throne" thing on VH1's Rock Honors? The guy they picked as #1 air guitarist sucked, at least during his We Will Rock You air guitar solo. He just made vague, spastic movements with his hands. I don't even play real guitar (I even air guitar left-handed, even though I'm a righty) and I was better than that guy.

I never do anything special when air guitaring. Being an actual guitarist and an air guitarist are two different things, so when I do air guitar, I just feel the music and concentrate on the music. In other words, I make imaginary chords/notes that's supposed to resemble the music being played, without swinging my head back and forth or playing the guitar behind my head.
I am consistently air drumming to songs, though.

Am I the only one who air glockenspeils?
-
I prefer air accordioning.
-
I air piano a lot.
-
I should've asked what instrument you air-play rather than what you do when you air guitar. Oh well.
-
I always Hammeron.
