I just came back from an epic video game tournament at college. I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and got in second place in both. Not bad for having not played either game for at least five months.

The game runs perfectly fine on a real N64. Have you even beaten the whole game yet?

The game was huge when it came out. Nostalgia might have something to do with where people rank it, but its popularity surely stems from it being a great game.

I agree with this, but every time I come back to the game, I notice how well it has aged. It's definitely not perfect, but I honestly can't find too many flaws with it.

Pacing is just... I don't know.  The beginning just seems to move very slowly, which may have something to do with the framerate, but it doesn't feel like the story is going anywhere.  I can't put my finger on it, and I'm perfectly willing to admit that it has a lot to do with my personal preference, but it just does not move fast enough for me.

Maybe you're not playing it fast enough :p.

That doesn't look too high-def to me. Maybe I'd be creeped out if the inside of the mouth had more detail...

Welcome to the FF, fennechelix! It looks like we have something in common because I also love the Paper Mario series!

Okay. It's impossible to even get near the top of the hotel on Episode 1 because there are no barrels. Episode 2 has barrels, but even then I can't get up there with a high Spin Jump (a Triple Jump is simply impossible to do with about ground about the size of Mario himself. A high Spin Jump is only a few frames lower than a Triple Jump anyway). Unfortunately, you can't stack barrels either, otherwise I wouldn't have needed someone to confirm this for me (this would've also been the only way to get out of bounds in Sirena Beach). Thanks a lot anyway! If you haven't seen my Sunshine videos, I suggest you do so now :).

Thanks a bunch! I tried it on Episode 8, so I'll see if I can get up there on Episode 1 or 2. I'll let you know what happens :)!

At that point, the only valuable thing left would be the raw, purified pursuit of knowledge, which there is always more to learn.  It would be entirely "I want to learn [blank]" without ending in "to make money" or "to live healthier".  Space travel would be viable without worrying about food, water, or age.

We'd have to have some sort of fuel that allows us to function. Nothing lasts forever.
