I didn't breed her, found her in a cave in Platinum. Nice nature, but abysmal IVs and no chance at Brave Bird unless it becomes a tutor move or TM in the future. I was much luckier with my shiny Gastrodon. Yes I have a shiny Gastrodon, I know there's two visually different forms, and I hate having to clarify that, so the game still hates me!

Check your shiny privilege. Aside from event/story Pokemon, I haven't found a shiny since Crystal.

I've found that Crobat (as a Golbat), a Golem (as a Graveler), an Elgyem, a Gastrodon, and hatched eggs with the Masuda Method for three days to get my Politoed. I'm not unsatisfied. I wouldn't bother trying for any other, I just make the best of whatever I happen to find. The Gastrodon is probably the highlight of them all. Good IVs, awesome nature, and Storm Drain. Really great for doubles in the rain.

I walked into White 2's Elite Four with only a few Revives, ran out of them after defeating two members, and am now trying to get more through the Dream Radar. I've only gotten two out of six cloud-lasering sessions because apparently burying me in Sun and Moon Stones is supposed to be more helpful.

Edit: Swept Caitlin with my Crustle, ended up using both Revives after Marshal, didn't have much of a problem with Iris. Final team: Watt (Ampharos♀), C.Blackeye (Krookodile♂), Jeff (Crustle♂), Viridi (Sawsbuck♀), The Bumble (Beartic♂), Jenny (Golurk).

Now it's time to trade everything over from my not-real White game and blow up the PWT and Battle Subway. And wait for X and Y... where I'll do it again. And so long as Game Freak keeps the games compatible with each other, again and again until I am battling my grandchildren with pokémon real decades older than them. Oh my god.
