Celsius sounds stupid for weather. With American measurements, you know that 100 is a big [darn] number when you're talking about speed or temperature, and the closer you are to 100, the closer you are to too much. 104 degrees is too hot. 80 degrees is pretty hot. 50 or 60 is right in the middle. 30 or 40 is cold. Driving 50 miles an hour is normal. Driving 80 miles an hour is fast. Driving 30 miles an hour is slow.

75 mph is 120 kph, so that's not too bad. That's still a nice even number for the highest you're going to be going in most applications.

With Celsius, 37 degrees is really hot, and a negative temperature might only be jacket weather. It also has less precision -- Farenheit has 180 degrees between freezing and boiling water, while Celsius only has 100.

In other applications, preferring Imperial over Metric is just opinion, but when talking about weather, Imperial is objectively better.

Isn't Fahrenheit part of the Imperial system? I don't know. I should've just said American.

I was actually drawing attention to your assertion that Fahrenheit is "objectively better" because of your opinion that Celsius "sounds stupid" when describing weather.

Thought it was obvious why I said Fahrenheit was better for weather. Thank you Crosseyed.

Sometimes I get to thinking there could be a system for time that deals in tens. Somehow.

A metric time system was introduced during the French Revolution, but it never caught on.

Thank you.  That's the first time anyone here has said I was hot.

See, here's the funny thing -- Fahrenheit is better for weather because when talking about weather temperatures, Fahrenheit is centigrade. Celsius has 100 degrees between freezing and boiling, but the majority of that hundred is never going to be used by weathermen; Fahrenheit just happens to work out perfectly to have a 100-degree range from 0 to 100 of reasonable weather temperatures.
