Who do you believe is the best villian (final boss) in the Mario RPG series: Smithy (Super Mario RPG), Bowser (Paper Mario), Cackletta (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga), Shadow Queen (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door), Princess Shroob (Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time), or Count Bleck (Super Paper Mario)?
I personally like Cackletta.
-
Shadow Queen as Peach was awesome.
-
Shadow Queen hands down.
-
Probable spoilarz, but final bosses are normally obvious beforehand anyway, unless you haven't played the game, in which case you wouldn't even know who these characters are.
I like Princess Shroob the best, probably because she's the only one on here that I've heard of/fought.
-
I like Cackletta the most, but Smithy has awesome music. Bowser is hilarious in all Mario RPGs, and I have yet to purchase PM2 or M&L2, but I may be getting the latter soon.
Nevertheless, I voted for Cackletta.
-
Hi guys, Teh Geno's here to talk!
Well, I personally enjoyed fighting Bowser on Super Mario RPG, in the first level, because I thought, Mario and Bowser, both on 2 chandaliers...
So cool.
-
I liked owning the Shadow Queen's ghostly behind. It was pretty easy, though. =P
By the way, mabey you should edit your topic's title with "(SPOILERS)". I didn't know who I would fight in M&L:PiT. Meh, but I don't care. XD But you should let others know if there's a spoiler coming up.
-
I voted Bowser.
-
I voted Bowser. I think he has a great personality and he's humourous in some ways.
-
I don't like any of the choices above.
-
I haven't seen Princess Shroob yet, but Cackletta was the best fight of the other four.
-
I don't like any of the choices above.
Then don't post.
-
The Shadow queen was a great boss but Waaaaaay too easy.
So Cackletta
-
Hold on! Wasn't Wario a secret boss in Mario and Luigi? Or was this some kind of hoax?

I never saw him in the game BUT according to this link...well it might mean something (scroll down to the Wario tibit)

No, I meant he was a boss you could fight. Here's the picture.......

That's an April Fool's Joke from SM128c.com

Kill me............
-
The Shadow queen was a great boss but Waaaaaay too easy.
So Cackletta
What are ya talkin' about? I was going to say I liked the Shadow Queen because she was a challenge, and that Cackletta was easy compared to her. Well, the first time they're all challenges, right? Then the next time they're easier.
-
I beat the Shadow Queen the 5th time I faced her on level 24 I think..........so she wasn't too hard. Bowser in PM was WAAAAAAY too easy. I haven't lost to him since I beat him way back when. I guess the hardest boss would have to be Bonetail. 'Cause I've never gotten to him!
-
What? No General Shy Guy? For shame....
-
What? No General Shy Guy? For shame....
General Shy Guy really was one of the easiest bosses in Paper Mario. He was also a fave. I liked the way he talked and I humored him.
-
What? No General Shy Guy? For shame....
General Guy isn't the villian of Paper Mario. He is simply a follower of the villian Bowser.
-
No, I meant he was a boss you could fight. Here's the picture.......
Isn't that the sprite from Wario Land 4?
-
Yes, which is why I'm baffled that anyone would've fallen for that. I still don't get how people get fooled by things on April Fool's Day; any time I EVER hear/see any news or account of someone on that day, I am ALWAYS skeptical (excluding the actual news, like, on TV and in the paper, which I am equally skeptical or believing on any other day of the year).
I voted Shadow Queen. The whole situation in and leading up to her was pure awesomeness. I also really liked Princess Shroob; something about what happens (which I won't say, as to spoil) made the situation really unexpected, although there was vague foreshadowing...
-
I voted for Bowser. You can't go wrong with Bowser as a villian, even if he is (becoming) the "comic relief" kind of villian, in most of the Mario rpg games these days.
Remember how awesome Bowser was in Paper Mario 64? I bet nobody else would've thought to steal the Starrod and ruining the world with his/her own devious wishes.
I really liked all the other choices though (except for Princess Shroob, as I have not played PiT), as they are all very unique in their own.. unique.. ways. (-_-;)
-
Bowser definately since I thought the shadow queen was a little too easy.
-
I didnt pick princess shroob because the story leading up to the point had no or little logic.
i. e. babys and adults meeting, time travel(some exceptions), mushroom kingdom being destroyed in past but not in present
-
Yes, which is why I'm baffled that anyone would've fallen for that.
I've never seen, let alone played, Wario Land 4, so I'm sorry I fell for that with out knowing.
-
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
mushroom kingdom being destroyed in past but not in present
This whole part of the story is an example of a predestination paradox (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predestination_paradox). They were destined to travel back in time to save the adult Princess and get rid of the Shroobs at some point, so during the time period after Princess Shroob was defeated and before the Present era, the kingdom was rebuilt and all damage caused by the Shroobs repaired (which is why the Past kingdom is destroyed but the Present kingdom is all right). If Mario and Luigi never went to the Past to help their younger selves, the Past would carry on to the Present, and so the Kingdom would've still been ruled by Shroobs!
Complicated, isn't it? Yes, and this just another thing that should be discussed in Mariology instead of here...
Spoilers end here.
-
That's really not much of a spoiler if you look at it. Any of that could be interpreted by reading the back of the box. It would be a spoiler is you revealed what happens just before the last batlle, but you didn't. As did I not.
-
When I talked about this in the chatroom, one person kept going "SPOILERS". So I decided to put the warning here.
-
I chose Bowser, because he's been the main villain from the start. What's better than the original!!!
-
Even though I haven't beaten Partners in Time yet, I chose Princess Shroob. She's just so... AWESOME!
-
.
-
And that was BEFORE this.
No it wasn't.
-
That's it, I'm tired of being quiet. This is VERY similar to Final boss wars for Mario RPG's, Forum Games, Page 3. And that was BEFORE this.
Dude, check the date on the first post of this topic. Best Mario RPG Villian predates your topic by about a year or so.
-
Good job reading my post. ;)
-
I did, I just felt like hammering it home.
-
Smithy was a bit different, that's why I think he's the best.
