And I was intentionally trying to confuse you by making you wonder whether my use of the word "headache" was in recognition of what you were actually talking about or in reference to your beautiful, new sig. Sheesh! You need to think straighter and stop warping people's minds while they're asleep. ;P

“What are they on, anyway?”“Dukar!”

Lizard Dude, "boast" is a very common word in descriptions of video games—as in, TMK definitely isn't the only one to use it. Sheesh! You're giving me a headache.

Wow, nice job, dude! I see that you are indeed learning Latin like you say. ;P

Yeah, I'm not surprised that those would be weird sentences because they were just part of a Linguistics exercise. However, if I remember correctly from my study of Spanish in high school, then I may have a suggestion to make the translations a little less weird.

I remember hardly any Spanish, but I think this is correct: La casa del hombre. The literal translation of that would be, "The house of the man," but a more natural translation in English would be, "The man's house." If this slight change of wording is applicable to translations from Latin, then maybe those sentences would sound a little better with it applied.

The above suggestion does not apply to Japanese, so I may have no idea what I'm talking about anymore.

Oh! Autograph, CD, and forgetful me! The coolest thing I own is actually more likely the one I put on display last February.

Yeah, that's our boy, Chup! I remember very clearly paying $60 for StarCraft 64.

Although not my most prized possession, the coolest thing I own is probably my E3 media pass and lanyard from earlier this year. I remember feeling really cool and important whenever I wore it.

On a family vacation, probably in Oregon, we stayed at a quaint, little inn that had a small, three-par golf course. As I teed off at the first hole, I hit a terrible slice (or a terrible hook—I can't remember what's what in golf anymore), and the ball went flying down this hill toward another hole. There happened to be someone standing there, and the ball landed only a few feet from his position. Had he been just a few feet to the left, the ball could have hit him in the head, and I imagine that he would have been badly injured.

My dad and older brother yelled "Fore!" when it happened, but the guy didn't hear them. Useless.

I think I should like to visit Cleveland simply because it has a cool name. That's not to mention that it's famous and in a part of the country that I've never been to. Maybe someday I'll be able to take a nice, long road trip though this enormous country . . .

I'm sorry! I think my parody was a bit lost on you. You may want to look at recent posts again.

As for the picture, thanks for telling me where it is! I just found it on the Internet—trust me, I have never taken a night shot (or maybe any shot) that looks as good as that one. But perhaps it is even more appropriate that I had a picture of Ohio behind my desktop when I did that . . .

Okay, Chup! I have some short Latin sentences from my Linguistics class that I'd be curious to know if you're able to understand:

  1. Senator gladiator erat.
  2. Crater senatoris est.
  3. Structor senatorem aspexit.
  4. Senatorem aspexit structor.
  5. Senator aspexit structorem.
  6. Structorem senator aspexit.
  7. Senator sororem gladiatoris aspexit.
  8. Structor craterem senatori dedit.
  9. Gladiatori craterem dedit senator.
  10. Gladiatori structorem senator commendavit.
  11. Gladiator craterem structoris sorori senatoris dedit.

The same words are used over and over again because these sentences were part of an exercise studying particular Linguistics stuff. If they're boring as a result, then you needn't feel pressured to translate or even read them. Also, I want to note that on my handout certain vowels have macrons over them (such as the a in senātor) to indicate longer vowel sounds; if you need that information to understand the words, then I can provide it.
