As far as 3-D Mario platformers go, Mario has secured a royal castle, a tropical island, and even outer space -- the final frontier. Now what comes after the final frontier? Street lamps, of course. My next-gen game concept, entitled Super Mario Street Lamps for Legs, follows a disgruntled Mario right after a plumbing accident in which both of his legs were ripped off. In the absence of artificial limbs, Mushroom Kingdom surgeons replace Mario's legs with some street lamps. Mario is now capable of a number of new techniques, such as shining the light from his feet into enemy's eyes. Admittedly, that maneuver only works at night. Also admittedly, that's probably the only new technique. Still, Super Mario Street Lamps for Legs will result in a new twist in our favorite franchise! Feel free to post ideas for this explosive new game.

But  the street lamps put Mario at a higher altitude, where the air is thinner. Now he has to finish the level before he passes out! Also because the wounds never healed up and he's still losing blood.

Oh dear.  That doesn't paint a very pleasant image in my head.

Another technique would be to light up dark places and to light fire to enemies!

I'm going to draw another so-called "concept-art" because this made me laugh so hard.

I just drew that. Anyone like it? (If someone does, maybe I'll make my own thread)

No, he's just pointing away to distract you from his buck teeth. That's another feature of the game.

Actually, he's doing a disco dance. He's very skilled to do that with streetlamps for legs!

He's trying to find which direction the wind is blowing so he can golf with his streetlamp legs

Don't max out the power meter, Mario, or your shot will slice or curve!
