Here's a topic where you can post an interesting fact about yourself. Just a little breath of fresh air to start interesting conversation.
I am related to Sir Henry Morgan (better known as Captain Morgan) the notorious Welsh privateer/pirate who made his name in the Caribbean. My great-great-great grandfather was Welsh and was distantly related to Morgan all the way back to his great-great-great uncle. The difference between me and Morgan is about 7 or 8 generations.
Evidentially, we also share the same last name, and my father shares his father's full name (Robert Morgan). No, I haven't killed 300 men in the Colon Province and I don't know a thing about pirating in general. I am not proud of what my ancestor did.
EDIT: Oh yeah, before anyone asks, I hate rum. They should've picked a different pirate as the logo/mascot, 'cause no one actually remembers him for who he was or what he did (not that what he did was worth remembering, but whatever).
EDIT2: Hm...it would appear as if I had forgotten about SJ's "10 facts about you" topic from a year or so ago. How about in this one, you must post only one interesting topic about yourself and elaborate on it. Sound fair enough?

I don't question the originality of this thread but as I already posted most of what I'd post here on the defunct "10 facts about you" thread (ah, the memories of so many members when I went back), I'll just reprint those responses with some editation:
-I have been temporarily stranded on a (technically) deserted island--twice.
-I am double-jointed and can put my leg(s) behind my head.
-I went streaking when I was six or seven through a friend's (well-attended) house.
-I accidentally broke a minor law involving butter cubes.
-I have vacationed in France, India, Africa, Canada, and England.
-I cracked my brother's head with a large plastic chair (semi-accidentally).
-I went bodysurfing in Santa Monica and lost my glasses.
-I'm pretty sure I saw a huge UFO--that, or I have hallucinated once in my life.
-I wear sandals and a coat to school virtually every day.
-Though I'm not the best, I throw discus and javelin on the track and field team.
-I may or may not be related to Charlemagne.
-A flypaper strip fell on my back from the ceiling when I was in around first grade.
-I still close my eyes in the graveyard part of The Haunted Mansion.
-Intimate teenagers disgust me.
-Boxers, not briefs.
-I had two petite mal seizures when I was about six (my brother had a grand mal and was momentarily hospitalized. Thank God for meds for the next few years afterwards!)
-I'm pretty sure I have every "standard" poster from Nintendo Power since #103 on my walls (up until the last few issues where I totally lost respect for them.)
-I know almost all the lyrics to most of my favorite songs.

- My first SNES VC game was SMRPG (Yeah... whatever.)
- I've been planning on going on a date with a girl after school is out. (Long story. It was originally just kind of a joke, but a date came from it nonetheless.)
- I found girls from my first grade and third grade classes on Facebook. (I've been trying to arrange a way to meet them again soon.)
I'm not that interesting and as far as I know, no one has recollected a (an) (in)famous past relative of mine.

From what I understand, "that particular Rickroll" involves several script-related things similar to the "You Are An Idiot" thing from years ago...but still has Never Gonna Give You Up playing. I don't know for sure, since I've never seen it myself.

As best as I recall, the one guy wasn't supposed to leave the pirates until his twentieth birthday, so even though he was twenty years old, his twentieth birthday wouldn't be until he was eighty.

Here's a few cool facts about the trip I got back from yesterday:
-We went to Marshall University in West Virginia for some sort of theatre awards type thing.
-The play I was forced to write and enter last year in my theatre class for a grade won 1st place in the novice category. I did not remember the plot, characters, or the fact that I wrote a play until they reminded me.
-Said play was a horror/drama deal about a meteor that drives an old man insane and makes him kill his guests.
-Their adaptation was a goofy comedy/horror deal done in radio format because they were too busy focusing on the other, more angsty, winning plays to set up a few boxes for a set and have the actors move around.
-There is a direct correlation between the level of angst in a play and its likelihood of winning, with the insane exeption of my play.
-At the afterparty, a 12-year-old from one of the middle schools approached my half-drunk, Rorschach t-shirt wearing, party sweat-covered, ping-pong playing self and asked me if I would go out with her. I replied that now was probably not the best time, since age gaps of more than two years in a relationship freak me out.
-Seeing people sit in one chair and text during the entirety of a party depresses me. Seeing people play board games the entire time is either more or less depressing depending on the number of players. Witnessing a one-player party-long game of Risk would probably make me kill myself.
-I thought someone had spiked my drink with alcohol until I remembered I was drinking alcohol the entire time.
-When not partying, most of me and my friends' time was spent at either Chick-Fil-A or the nearby arcade.

My great grandfather was Bill Mullen, who played for the Saint Louis Browns (the predecessor to the Saint Louis Cardinals). His stats are pretty mediocre, but apparently he was on buddy terms with Babe Ruth, as the man looked after my Grandma on more than a few occasions.
Also, of less interest, I'm entirely serious here when I say that the first memory of my life is sitting in front of the big Zenith TV in the living room, playing Super Mario Bros. That was 22 years ago.

I once played L4D with a girl from PMS clan AND the dude from Garry's Mod, all in one day. The former I managed to drive from the game while I was griefing, something I'm rather proud of.

Interesting facts about meeself cuz I'm bored...
1. I'm a girl and I'm 17 (will be 18 on the 13th)

...Ok, in other news...I just found out an interesting fact about myself today: I can read backwards! ?!taht si emosewa woH I can also read upside-down text.
Also, when I was about 6 or 7, I used to play video games with the controller upside-down. My dad would always turn it rightside-up (the correct way) and say "no, son. Hold it this way." ...I completely ignored him and continued holding it upside-down.
I grew out of it ...eventually.
