How come GameBoy made a comeback and theres new games for it, but no new games for NES SNES or anything like that? the new games for N64 suck
~*(Remember: Koopa is Watching you)*~
-
'Cause the GB got rerealased as the Game Boy Color.
-
I agree with King Koopa. Also another bad thing is that, where I live, no shops sell the Mario games for SNES anymore and I can't find them in 2nd hand shops and my Dad has a rule that I can't get games off the 'net.
-
Ha, Ha, I bumped this...Yes I know its from a long time ago...
-
Ha, Ha. You sure did.
But this thread is from a long time ago.
-
The Game Boy didn't make a come back. Because it never went away. Not until around 2005, at least.
-
yeah thats true...
-
Yeah, seriously quit bumping threads especially when you have absolutely nothing to say. At all.
-
Maybe it's that I only check a few of the forums here, but haven't replies been hard to come by for a while? Except for Forum Games which always seems to have activity. Bringing back old threads might be a good thing, just to get us something more to talk about. Maybe. I don't know, I just walk in and out of threads...
-
But seriously, why isn't Nintendo making new SNES games anymore?
-
I heard some legit developer recently released a new NES game.
-
The Brothers Chaps will release their Homestar Runner game for Atari any decade now...
But yeah, there are still people making unofficial games for early consoles like the NES. I don't think it's possible to play them in a real NES unless you have some fancy ROM tools lying around. I know someone did a Commodore 64 version of Guitar Hero (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52gcC3Sn-Gw) though.
I haven't seen any unofficial SNES games though, what's up with that? Maybe people are just making the most of old hardware and don't feel the need to upgrade to a more powerful console yet. Playstation 2 is nearly a decade old and there's still official games being made for it. I think it will keep going on for another five years.
Can't wait until we start seeing unofficial N64 and GameCube games. We might get a lot of games with deformed lousy-looking 3D models, but I'm sure we'll get some Banjo-Kazooies out of it too.
-
There are homebrew SNES games. Just no one cares.
PS2 still has Sony support whereas Nintendo's consoles don't get support when they are supplanted by the next gen console.
Seems like most people don't care enough at all to try to make new N64/GCN games, although people do make new Dreamcast games since all you have to do is burn a CD to run it...
-
I dunno... I think bumping this thread was a good idea... we've already started something up
-
New games on any old Nintendo system would be good! I have almost all of them!
-
they should just rename new smb wii "New Super Mario World Wii"...
It's just like the SNES SMW!
-
Except there's no significant usage of Yoshi and no Cape Feather, the two best parts of SMW.
-
Yeah, I'd have to disagree with Fox's assessment as well. NSMBWii's situational costumes and simple, arena-style boss battles ring more heavily of SMB3.
-
NO significant use yoshi!?
have you ever even played it?
-
I agree with Weegee. The style and levels resemble SMB3.
-
There's only one level per world with Yoshis, and you can't take them to other levels. They've become slightly more common Kuribo's Shoes. Which makes it like SMB3 again. Or like Donkey Kong Country, what with animal buddies not being able to be taken to other levels and there being barrels that you can pick up over your head and throw and the graphics being in 3D.
-
i do hate that you cant take animal buddies from level to level...especially if you think of it as i do, as an extra hit point.. hey, shouldnt the starman save you from falling in holes in the mario games?
-
It only protects you from damage, not gravity.
-
well, it should protect you from gravity... what about double jumping... its physically impossible!
-
I suppose removing the physics of bottomless pits was too difficult to accomplish in SMB's era, and the trend continued thereafter.
-
well, they could make it so theres some invisible ground over the pits when you have starman.
-
Starmen are for knocking out enemies, not playing the game for you.
-
Starmen aren't like the bullet bills from Mario Kart DS!
-
Its a good thing most (
myself included) members here at TMK are mature enough for this 10 Year Old-Bumped topic to stay open. If this forum was less mature, this would be closed as a testimony to the spammers and trolls telling them rule-breakers will not be tolerated.
-
well, i just had a comment about it, and i wanted to bring it back... look at the conversation weve been keeping. i think this was a good idea.
-
Rules are overrated. The spirit of the forums lives on.
-
I agree with foxmccloudfan. This was a good idea, breaking the rules or not.
-
you guys are awesome and i totally agree... no one else seems to mind... whats wrong with bumping for a reason
-
Ha, Ha, I bumped this...Yes I know its from a long time ago...
Yeah, that was a good reason, alright.
-
hey, it ended up to be!
-
I would argue that foxmccloudfan and YoshiFansean1 have stimulated discussion here, albeit in an unconventional manner.
-
i agree... so... why should we not have bumped it?
-
They're definitely the best thing that's happened to the forum in the last couple of weeks at least.
-
i sincerely hope that wasnt sarcastic... if not, then thanks!
-
I would argue that foxmccloudfan and YoshiFansean1 have stimulated discussion here, albeit in an unconventional manner.
That was the most neutral, politically correct statement I've ever read. As for our two newest members, they've certainly sparked an unprecendented amount of conversation. Heck, the Forum is on fire tonight compared to its usual pace.
-
Indeed, though that activity comes with a bevy of grammatically weak posts and bumps visible from Google Earth.
-
Perhaps, but, still...
-
i guess ill take that as a compliment...?
-
on the subject of grammatically weak, i choose to do that, im posting from my dsi, if you dont already know
-
if anyone says it was useless that i bumped this thread, consider this: because of me, this post went from a pathetic 8 replies to 44 in a matter of 2 days... interpret this how you may, but i see this as a show of interest in this topic...
-
I'll take anything you said as a compliment too, but I half to say I'm not the best definer.
