Title: Awards

So, do you think Nintendo games deserve awards? I don't really care about awards, but it sort of annoys me when I see Nintendo's effort and hard work not get an award while an FPS does. I also find Nintendo's games a lot more creative and fun than games like Grand Theft Auto.

We could hold our own awards. Like the "mushies". But seeing as this is a Mario fan site, bias will definitely be a factor.

They do. Player's Choice: Million Seller ribbons (well, they used to be, and we had the Official Nintendo Seal of Quality... why is it all being lamified now?).

What's wrong with a company saying, "This passes our standards and is approved as fit to sell," about something?

They can't guarantee it's good, so they stopped saying they could.

Well, no one can guarantee a game is good. It's up to an individuals opinion to determine if it's something he/she likes. I also meant awards as in non-Nintendo Power and something like Game of Year, Best(insert genre here)Game, or just good reception from either a game site, or T.V. show that I see on some game covers.

Nintendo gets lots of awards.  They don't deserve every award out there...
