I was looking around at new Wii releases and I found this game coming out in the fall that looks really fun. I'm planning on renting it when it comes out. Heres a link to the trailer:

Wait, how is MushroomJunkie able to post?
EDIT: Nevermind, his ban has been lifted.
-
Yes I am not banned anymore. My account was suspended for a week though.
-
I didn't actually know we did suspensions. All of the bans I've seen have been permanent.
-
I don't know. I just don't want to say anything that will get me in trouble again so I am being very careful right now.
-
Mushroom Men: Spore Wars looks like a fun, Legend of Zelda-esque game. I think I will rent it when it comes out.
-
Yeah, my interest was piqued when I saw in preview for the MM games in Game Informer a few months ago. Thing is, since then, all the games that've come out of Gamecock have been crap, so I'm going to stay indifferent about it until release.
-
I'm pretty sure MEGABYTE realized that a ban was too far for mistaking a rule.
-
Your probably right luigagalaxy. Anyways I have never heard of red fly or gamecock until this I saw this game. What games did they used to make?
-
I think they used to be Gathering of Developers, which was like a kind of indie game-publishing house, if my memory serves me correctly. I've got a few games published by them that are pretty good. It was sold or whatever sometime in the late-nineties, and the dudes who used to own it have now started Gamecock, which is, for all intents and purposes, the same company. The two games I know of that have been released, Hail to the Chimp and Insecticide, were fairly crappy (Insecticide less so, because it had some good ideas).
-
That looks like alot of fun I probably wont be here when it comes out though :(

Rise of the fungi!
We finally have our own game. Though, they took the fungi theme a little too far.
-
I saw some advertisement for it in Nintendo Power, with random trading cards. It looks kind of interesting.
-
random
>:(

:P Whassamatter, Glorb - the use of the word Random not random enough for you or something...
It's simply natural vocabulary evolution, man - the word Random has been abused for years now...it won't end anytime soon, so there's barely any reason to hold it against anyone these days other than for being a grumpy old Goomba. :D
As for the topic:
Mushroom men and Dangerous Creatures are two games that have my attentions for the Wii. I've acquired a PS3 lately, and I need something entirely off the wall {sparing Glorb further punishment there} to entice me back to my poor underused white box of joy!
I want Mushroom men to be good, I really do...it looks gorgeous, and sounds intriguing as a whole - but wii owners always keep getting bitten in the butt for believing something will be good on release, though! D:
-
Just to show Bleck the error of his ways, I'm going to take "bleck" and turn it into a synonym for falling off a cliff.
Anyway, yeah. MM. Looks good, and I might get the DS version.
-
Meh, It's all good. :P I've said my piece, that is all!
-
I'm sorry, you cannot have "some random game" or "a game that is random" or whatever. First, as was already covered, random is not a synonym for unexpected or off the wall, and furthermore, computers are incapable of producing random numbers.
-
It may not be defined as such in any dictionary, Chupperson, but the rest of the world doesn't worry about small issues like that - and FYI, it's not ACTUALLY meant to be an official definition by any means, but simply a popular way of explaining an off-the-wall event in a single and pre-existing word...I can't see why that's such a hard concept to follow.
-
Why do people always assume that the person arguing against something has never before encountered said argument point? I'm well aware of how often people misuse the word, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't understand why they shouldn't use it in that way. I already gave you a word, "unexpected". Or "unpredictable".
-
Heh - but people prefer shorter words...and random is the closest, and may I add Most widely accepted variant - Heck, if people can get away with using it in an English Essay (As I myself have done AND not been questioned on), then that pretty much sums up that the Slang use is applicable, regardless of personal opinion.
Words and Dictionary explanations ALWAYS get bent over time, and language rules and ideologies are always constantly evolving - stay too rigid, and you'll find yourself simply getting annoyed too easily.
Reference: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/random - This also ties semi-neatly into the Slang-based definition...but this is merely one source.
More creditable and reliable sources can be found, However.
Besides, Since that it IS used as a SLANG definition, the word is taken out of the original context - 'Random' may be a mathematical term in and of itself dictionary-wise, but Slang usage is a whole other ballgame entirely. Essentially It SHOULDN'T matter if people use it as such, so long as the original use of the word is still intact for those whom would use it more in it's original state.
Regardless of what you might feel about the subject, this *is* the way of things now, and it's not likely to change just for a few who take up arms because they disagree.
But I digress...This is a thread about video games, and a discussion about language use is pretty non-thread friendly, heh.

Yeah, and because of that slang attitude, 'gay's meaning went from happy to homosexual.

gamecock

Yeah, and because of that slang attitude, 'gay's meaning went from happy to homosexual.
It still means happy. Also even further slang has transformed the word "gay" into meaning lame or stupid.
-
Wait, how did we get on this topic?
Anyway, I have no interest in this game, primarily because of how much Nintendo Power and their ilk whored for it.
