Title: Mouse and Pad
Post by: Koopaslaya on January 11, 2006, 09:38:44 PM
As I was bored one night, I decided to scan my mouse pad. Now, I know many of you have optical mouses. These often do not require pads. I have an optical mouse and a pad. my pad is pretty cool as you see. (https://themushroomkingdom.net/board/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi12.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fa221%2FKoopaslaya%2Fscan.gif&hash=c89f4e9b5fe203705e1309c495783ea4)
What kind of cool mouse pad and mouse do you use?

Hey, I remember coming up with this idea in the chatroom! XD

Optical mouse. The finish is wearing off where my hand goes. >_<  Then again, the mouse was pretty cheap. I have to use a mouse, even with my laptop, because the touch-pad-like one drives me insane. And I have to have the vertical scroller thing on the mouse, too, or I also go insane. I also must have a mouse pad; it makes the mouse work so much better, even with optical.

Better pic of mouse pad later.

The number one factor in mouse pads that I consider worth considering is comfort and that's why my mouse pad is a winner, and one of my favorite Christmas presents.

Luigison, I have fallen in love with your Comp 1 setup.
Umm.  Thanks, I guess.  The computer 2 setup is cool too.  The tablet is great for drawing.  When not drawing I put a standard mouse pad and optical mouse over it though.  From my experience you can connect multiple tablets, mice, etc. to one PC, then use which ever one suits you.  At first I had the tablet on computer 1, but since it uses two monitors the resolution made all my drawings distorted.

Optical mouses are very hard to play counter-strike with. I speak from experience.

I had a ball mouse once. My sister stole it and gave me hers because hers wasn't working, and ended up breaking both. So we got laser ones. Bad experiences with wireless... My mom got rid of her wireless one.

Anyway, PAD: It's one-a those giant calendars, but it stopped at December. The paper actually served as a good paper airplane.

When the bottom of my mouse was dotted with undentified gunk, I taped a piece of paper beneath it. Then the edge started scratching and bothering my arm, so I ripped a piece off of it to teach it a lesson.

My mouse is wireless.  My pad is non-existant, I just use the top drawer of my desk as the place where my keyboard and mouse are.  So when I'm done, I can put them away without moving them!

I have a black and cobalt mousepad from bigchalk.com. It was given away at an educator's conference which my father attended. My old mousepad had the Republican Elephant on it, but I had used it since 1996 so it was getting sort of worn out. Before that I had a plain black one from the computer store where we bought our first computer, a Macintosh LC.

I've had the bigchalk.com one since 2000, or when I got the iBook. I have two different mice that I use--one on the road that doesn't take as much power and one for at home. The road mouse is an orange USB mouse that looks like a hockey puck. It uses a ball and rollers. At home I have an optical mouse, mostly so I wouldn't have to keep packing my mouse up every time I wanted to go on the road. The mouse at home is an Apple ProMouse, which is a USB optical model. It's the black one, not the new white one.

My old Macintosh has a squarish ball and roller mouse. I still have the computer, too--it's got its original box and everything.

I'm too lazy to screenshot my room, but I've got a USB black Microsoft laser mouse. Yeah, kind of like the one Ninjap00 posted, except... not as sleek. But I've recently found myself preferring small-ish mice anyway, mice that my whole hand can cover, mice that I can palm. No, I can't word it any more innocently than that. btw, the Mighty Mouse by Apple is the worst mouse I've ever used, with not clearly feeling a separation of the two button and an absolutely ridiculous pointy-feeling "nub" for the mouse wheel. So I prefer regular two-button USB mice. Sorry Apple, I always thought you lagged behind in the mouse department, and still do.

As for the mouse pad I have, it's a moonlight scene (oddly enough with the Earth in the horizon) with three wolves howling. No, it doesn't make me manly and powerful (http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Three-Wolf-Short-Sleeve/dp/B002HJ377A). It just makes me a furry.
