As I was bored one night, I decided to scan my mouse pad. Now, I know many of you have optical mouses. These often do not require pads. I have an optical mouse and a pad. my pad is pretty cool as you see. What kind of cool mouse pad and mouse do you use?

Hey, I remember coming up with this idea in the chatroom! XD

Optical mouse. The finish is wearing off where my hand goes. >_< Then again, the mouse was pretty cheap. I have to use a mouse, even with my laptop, because the touch-pad-like one drives me insane. And I have to have the vertical scroller thing on the mouse, too, or I also go insane. I also must have a mouse pad; it makes the mouse work so much better, even with optical.
Better pic of mouse pad later.

Ehe, I love your pad, Sapphira! :D My mouse pad is fixed into my desk. It just rolls out of my keyboard stand-like-thingy. TEM's looks very comfortable, though.

i have a plain black mousepad

but youve got a nice mouse

Mine is similar in shape and texture to that last one, except mine is cordless.

The number one factor in mouse pads that I consider worth considering is comfort and that's why my mouse pad is a winner, and one of my favorite Christmas presents.
-
TEM, that RCA thing is rather dusty.
-
I just have a trackball.

TEM, that RCA thing is rather dusty.
I rubbed my hand over the top of it and then wiped my hand on a paper towel, it looks better now.
-
Thank you. I am not longer afraid that you will be consumed by a dust rhino.

Do you always use your laptop or do you have another computer, Chupperson?
-
My laptop is like 50x better than our other computer, so I use it 99.9% of the time.
-
i use my moms good 'n' good
-
My mouse is alone with no pad for company, but he doesn't need one.
-
Aack! Luigison's wireless things are the same as mine! I have the same wireless mouse, wireless keyboard, and the thing that connects the mouse or whatever!
-
Luigison, I have fallen in love with your Comp 1 setup.
-
Luigison, I have fallen in love with your Comp 1 setup.
Umm. Thanks, I guess. The computer 2 setup is cool too. The tablet is great for drawing. When not drawing I put a standard mouse pad and optical mouse over it though. From my experience you can connect multiple tablets, mice, etc. to one PC, then use which ever one suits you. At first I had the tablet on computer 1, but since it uses two monitors the resolution made all my drawings distorted.
-
I never thought of multiple computer mouses being called "mice".
-
Me neither. I have the same setup as LS's No. 1. Hurray for Microsoft COMPUTERS.
-
my mouse is one with the ball at the top you move with your thumb
-
I had a *trackball* once. Its not very fun. My opinion.
-
Optical mouses are very hard to play counter-strike with. I speak from experience.
-
I had a ball mouse once. My sister stole it and gave me hers because hers wasn't working, and ended up breaking both. So we got laser ones. Bad experiences with wireless... My mom got rid of her wireless one.
Anyway, PAD: It's one-a those giant calendars, but it stopped at December. The paper actually served as a good paper airplane.

nice!
-
What pattern does it have on it? What does it look like? Scan it!
Heres my mousepad (http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/4575/mousepadxp5.jpg)!
I have a mouse that matches with it! I'm serious. My mouse is green with marking and stars.
-
When the bottom of my mouse was dotted with undentified gunk, I taped a piece of paper beneath it. Then the edge started scratching and bothering my arm, so I ripped a piece off of it to teach it a lesson.
(https://themushroomkingdom.net/board/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg157.imageshack.us%2Fimg157%2F8407%2Fdsc00229qj0.jpg&hash=2c264f68f4a9ad960d65b885fff66d25)
-
My mouse is wireless. My pad is non-existant, I just use the top drawer of my desk as the place where my keyboard and mouse are. So when I'm done, I can put them away without moving them!
-
Well, I finally took a picture.
-
Ye gads, do you game with that thing?
-
Those red balls look like little alien brains. Why do they all have to look so uniform ugly?
-
LD, Max doesn't have to worry about gaming. He uses a Mac.
-
Exactly. (https://themushroomkingdom.net/board/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fthemushroomkingdom.net%2Fboard%2FSmileys%2Fdefault%2Ftongue.gif&hash=8a86fcda679ae24d41184187899eae67) Besides, I've never really been interested in computer gaming. Nintendo's always been there to fill that need.
-
Fill the need for computer gaming? What?
-
No, for gaming in general.
-
So, you don't have to play games... because you have Nintendo... to use... to play... games?
-
Got a mousepad today. Yes, I went to iD Tech. Lucky me.
Edit: 250th post!
-
Cool circle mouse pad!
-
I have a black and cobalt mousepad from bigchalk.com. It was given away at an educator's conference which my father attended. My old mousepad had the Republican Elephant on it, but I had used it since 1996 so it was getting sort of worn out. Before that I had a plain black one from the computer store where we bought our first computer, a Macintosh LC.
I've had the bigchalk.com one since 2000, or when I got the iBook. I have two different mice that I use--one on the road that doesn't take as much power and one for at home. The road mouse is an orange USB mouse that looks like a hockey puck. It uses a ball and rollers. At home I have an optical mouse, mostly so I wouldn't have to keep packing my mouse up every time I wanted to go on the road. The mouse at home is an Apple ProMouse, which is a USB optical model. It's the black one, not the new white one.
My old Macintosh has a squarish ball and roller mouse. I still have the computer, too--it's got its original box and everything.

Lizard Dude still writes checks.
-
6 per year.
-
Do you people purposefully avoid cleaning your rooms to gross me out?
-
I clean my room all the time, but it's still a huge mess.
-
Lizard Dude still drinks Monster.
Oh wow, I remember AbercrombieBaseball.
-
I remember Lizard Dude coming into #tmk one day and mentioning that he won a contest he completely forgot he had entered, so it's neat seeing that Tropico Reloaded box.
I don't use a mousepad:

I never clean my room

I never clean my room
That's gross.
-
I clean my room every October 3rd.
-
There's never anything in my room to clean. Apparently, adequate shelving to neatly display one's possessions isn't available in America.
-
Or you know, people in America have more things than just Grindan RPGs and Nintendo games.
I'd post pictures of my room, but the last ones i took are severely outdated.

Well, I've got some, at least. Then again, our uncanny similarities have been noted in the past...
-
Here's mine. Twas a Christmas present from my boyfriend.
Also, no need to point out how worn my mouse looks. The relatives do that enough.

no pad
-
No pad? Classy.
-
I'm too lazy to screenshot my room, but I've got a USB black Microsoft laser mouse. Yeah, kind of like the one Ninjap00 posted, except... not as sleek. But I've recently found myself preferring small-ish mice anyway, mice that my whole hand can cover, mice that I can palm. No, I can't word it any more innocently than that. btw, the Mighty Mouse by Apple is the worst mouse I've ever used, with not clearly feeling a separation of the two button and an absolutely ridiculous pointy-feeling "nub" for the mouse wheel. So I prefer regular two-button USB mice. Sorry Apple, I always thought you lagged behind in the mouse department, and still do.
As for the mouse pad I have, it's a moonlight scene (oddly enough with the Earth in the horizon) with three wolves howling. No, it doesn't make me manly and powerful (http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Three-Wolf-Short-Sleeve/dp/B002HJ377A). It just makes me a furry.
-
Apple's magic mouse is awesome, though.
My dad has one he doesn't use, but it won't work on my ol' G5.

Boring mouse and boring pad, but they serve their purpose
-
Camera sucks. And before you judge me, I made the mousepad a long time ago.
-
I am judging you so much right now.
-
Just call me Judge Mental, cuz I'm on your case!

An extremely old mousepad that my wife's family loaned us ages ago when she moved out (before she was my wife).
-
Solid, your mousepad is pretty awf u l, according to Warp's invalid opinion.

I would have given you a hearty LOL and big thumbs-up if that had been a pic of the SNES mouse setup next to your PC, or anyone's PC, but for a standalone picture of the mouse floating in the void hotlinked from a different site, I give you thumbs-down. The gag could have been great. :(

However, his failed attempt at humor did give me a good idea:
