This really needs a thread, even though it's been mentioned a lot elsewhere.

Here's a brand new trailer.

Well, it looks quite promising to me. I do believe that this title is one exception to my gaming axiom.

Your gaming axiom is the biggest load of Bantha poodoo I've ever heard and shows extreme lack of gaming experience.

Yeah, I know. I'm just aware of my relucatnce to expand my gaming repertoire.

My gaming axiom: If it's not first-party, it probably sucks.

Capcom

No offense, but you are a retard.

That's weak writing.
Luigison: Question everything!
Me: Why?

No way, man; I hilariously instantly followed up a pleasantry with a jarring semi-offensive insult. It was a great sentence.

There are third parties that can stand up to the first parties, but there's a metric buttload of third parties that completely suck. The axiom is at least statistically justified. Certainly on any given Nintendo console, a random Nintendo-developed game is more likely to be good than a random game selected from the entire pool of non-Nintendo games.

Okay, looking how the axiom was actually phrased (and ignoring my brain's loud howls from my math degree background about an "axiom" containing the word probably) I would agree its true. But man. Playing nothing but first-party Nintendo games is like never eating anything but pizza. Pizza is totally awesome, but you will be severely lacking both nutritionally and spiritually.

It'd be even unhealthier with Sony and Microsoft. Especially when you have stuff like Atlus publishing Demon's Souls in the US because of Sony not wanting to do so for whatever reason.

Unless we're not counting first-party-published games developed by other companies as first-party games, which would render Sony and Microsoft basically useless for someone following Weegee's "axiom."

I would rather hear a mediocre album from a music artist I like than an artsy, critically-praised album by some indie group I've never heard of. I'm aware that my gaming ax motto is a gross, oft-incorrect generalization, but I still stand by it for the reasons stated by CrossEyed.

I presume you'd also rather hear an album that you'd want to listen to more than once.

But you don't buy games at pure random, so CE7's arguments don't apply.

I don't like it either, but I was forced to defend myself against Paper's attack (which had no explanation or rationale given to support it). I specifically remember taking a moment to think about how I wanted to word that post.

Five days, dudez. THE THREE DIMENSIONAL DOTS ARE ALMOST HERE!

It's funny; I'm going to be going straight from a 3D Zelda (Darksiders) to a 2D Zelda (3D Dot Game Heroes).

I got this game at midnight. Had to make the walmart guy go in the back to find it when he tried to tell me they didn't have it. The game only cost 40 dollars and the cashier tried to sell me a one year extended warranty on the game. Definitely the [wtd] of the month. I made a serpent guy with arms, black horns, a yellow stripe going around his whole body, and sweet armored shoulder pads.

Only 40 bucks?

Well, that settles it. I'm picking it up this summer along with Borderlands, its about time I start playing my PS3 again.
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

Got this game yesterday. I'm currently Captain America (I have two shields on my person at all times). I'm quite enjoying it.

(His character's graphics have the Cap shield, but he still also has the in-game shield. It's a funny observation.)

People making custom characters should post pics here!

Well, my Captain America is just a blatant recolor of the main hero model. His shield is on his back when he's not attacking.

My most recent one, though, M. Bison, is much more...not a recolor.  And he grins like a maniac and has Psycho Power around him whenever he attacks. Another angle for good measure..

The graphics were EXTREMELY NIFTY but the gameplay was very basic. The overworld's not so bad but the dungeons are seriously Zelda 1 caliber. Boring.

For PS3 games, maybe Bayonetta, Heavy Rain, or Dead Rising 2?

He might also want to look into downloadable games, since there's some good stuff on PSN. (Would help if we knew what he already has.)

Can minis be played on PS3? Because MONSTERS (Probably) STOLE MY PRINCESS was way cool. Totally worth the $5.
