Deezer actually RUNS a site where you can download free video game sheet music, you know?

http://www.kontek.net/vgjam/

I'm sure he won't mind me spamming his site on his forum ^_~

Err... it's not exactly sheet music. Guitar tablature is more like a graphical representation of the fretboard.

I imagine translating some game music to sheet music is a challenging process. I'm a composer and I've tried it a bit before and I know *I'm* not very good at it :)  I suppose it has a lot to do with what game you're dealing with too. Old NES stuff has fewer parts and uses distinct wave forms for most of them so its a cinch compared to something like Uematsu stuff that's fully symphonic. Game music also tends to bear a lot of 20th century music influences such as complex meters, polytonality, etc. This stuff is tougher to work out ;)

Congratulations! You've won the "Captain Obvious" Award!

It's not as funny as having a keen grasp of the ridiculous.

Don't you think Captain Obvious would've been promoted by now? Shouldn't (s)he be, like, Admiral Obvious?

Actually, I think he should not be an Admiral YET.... is there any rank between Admiral and Captain?

And if we get really bored, we can demote Captain Obvious to Seaman 3rd Class Obvious.

I am not a people person. In fact, I`m more of an anti-people person.
I respect your post. As long as you don''t insult my intelligence in it.

In the Army, isn't it like Captain->Lieutenant->General->Admiral or something?
In Starfleet, it's like Cadet->Ensign->Lieutenant->Lt. Commander->Commander->Captain->Admiral
But I don't know... Captain Obvious would have to have served for a while and done some real good stuff to be promoted to Admiral already, I think...

Uh, isn't Supreme Allied Commander above General?

No! Wait! That's in Rogue Squadron!

I was never in the Army, so I wouldn't know.
I thought President was a political rank, not a military rank... ok, whatever, forget it already...

Er, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure (!!?) Admiral is a Navy-only kind of rank and it's pretty DANG high up there. I don't even think General is a Navy rank at all.
