Title: 8th place finishes in Mario Kart

You've finished 1st in the championship many times, but have you finished outright 8th?

I've done this feat in all cups in all ccs in Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 and have only so far done it once in Mario Kart Super Circuit.

Considering how easy it is to do, I wouldn't consider it much of a feat.

I would...

In Mario Kart 64, there are 2 main rivals that will most of the time finish in the top 3, and will pass everyone, there is also 2 loser drivers that would smash into just about anything.

I played as Bowser in the Special cup, and it ended:

1 Luigi 36
=2 Mario 6
=2 Peach 6
=2 Toad 6
=2 Yoshi 6
=2 Wario 6 
=2 DK 6
8 Bowser 4

I don't know so much about finishing 8th, but I have attempted to finish in fourth in both SMK and MK64. The results of finishing 4th are particularly hilarious in MK64..

That makes me think that I have yet to try it in all the versions that came after MK64..

I purposely tried getting the 4th rank in MK64. When I got it, I felt annoyed and played again to get the top rank. :P

I think in MK:SC, you get crushed by the winners' stand if you get lower than third. In MK:DD, all the Piantas make the weird angry gibberish noises they made in Super Mario Sunshine (with one new clip) and it tells you to "try for a trophy next time." I don't know about MKDS.

I got a 4th rank in MK64 once when I was younger.  Yeah, the sequence is hilarious, although I wasn't laughing at the time.

I just there was something for the true losers of Mario Kart when getting the lowest of the low in a championship...
