Title: Free Half-Life 2 Contest
Post by: SolidShroom on December 30, 2007, 01:20:14 PM
So today I got the Orange Box for PC, and I didn't need the copy of Half-Life 2 that came with it so I can give it to any steam account for free, since I have a copy of it already. So I think I'll give my copy to whoever can make me laugh hardest. The contest ends Wednesday at 10:00PM EST. Good Luck. And anyone can enter, because it's free to make a Steam account. Just a word of motivation, Half Life 2 is the best FPS ever but you need a 1337 computer to run it.

Yet despite that I managed to get 384. You, on the other hand, will never get 384 even with your arms coming out of where they belong.

SolidShroom, you should give me your Steam account thing so I can make friends and pwn you on Team Fortress 2!

Half-Life 2 scares me. I really hate the aliens. Especially the ones that hang from the ceiling and have their super long tongues hanging down and if you touch them you get sucked up and they eat you. Nevertheless, it's an amazing game.

Hardly. My computer sucks doodyballs, and it runs HL2 fine. Crysis, on the other hand...

Oh, I guess you can consider "doodyballs" to be my attempt.

Despite the fact that I already own HL2.

And just beat it for the sixth time two hours ago.

Yeah.

"Minimum: 1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, DirectX 7 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection"
"Recommended: 2.4 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX 9 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection"

What was this about requiring a 1337 computer?

I live in a community where people still have Windows 98 and ME, so I suppose my standards for a good computer are kinda low.

How is needing a 1337 computer motivation?

Bleah... I might as well give it a shot after all, its free.

Wait... does it have to be my own work or can it be plagiarized?

Crap, it appears as if I've forgotten about this. Oh well, I have to say that this is between Metal_Slug_Mario and Boo_Penguin. However, unfortunately, MSM posted his after 10:00PM EST , which was the deadline, which means that I have no choice but to give it to Boo_Penguin. Thanks to everyone else who entered.

Darn it... I knew I should have had that scanned yesterday... Procrastination got the best of me again...

But then again, Boo_Penguin is the "comic gold" So how the heck was I supposed to compete? =/

Your first comic was better than even LD's entry.

Pfft, like I was even trying. I had recently stumbled upon that old image somewhere and thought about doing what I did but didn't and then this came so I just slapped it up because I didn't want the idea to go to waste.

I already own Half-Life 2 three times!

Aw, shucks, are you really gonna close down the thread? After all the good times we used to have? Well, I guess so...after all, everyone has to move on...

*the lights to the thread turn off, and the door closes and locks*

*a slower version of the thread's theme song plays*

*clips of various wacky moments from the thread play in the background of the credits*

Up next on Nick at Night: The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

This thread cannot die. I only participate for fun and show the anger level of Deezer. I don't want the prize, so the contest can continue. :)

I hereby withdraw my entry, due to the fact that I'm buying the Orange Box when I go shopping on Saturday. Good luck, Metal_Slug_Mario!

Neato. I guess this means I better draw a new comic, unless you can only put in one entry...

You can get Steam free at steampowered.com, although it's really only useful if you have a non-dial-up connection.

Luckily, more and more people seem to be getting rid of dial-up.
