This is a strange thought that just popped into my head: What do you think they would've called Super Mario 64 if they didn't use the "64" suffix? Then, of course, I thought of all the other games: Mario Kart DS, Super Mario Bros. 3... heck, pretty much any game with a number in it and nothing else. So, basically, what do you think would be some good alternate names for games with only a number or some other system indicator (Super, 64, DS, Advance, Wii--that last one... I don't know how they can get away with that)?
-
I don't understand the purpose of this.
-
This topic seems to me like asking "What if the French Revolution never happened?"
-
SM64 would most likely be called Mario, But it's 3D, So You Shall Spend $70 on This Now.

Ultra Mario, Super Mario Ultra, Super Mario 3D- Something like that.
-
MK64- Mario Kart Ultra
Super Mario Bros. 3...
I would be Super Mario Bros. 3
-

"Luigi Is Missing."
-
I'd say in terms of Mario 64, "Super Mario: The Imprisoned castle"
-
Here's a couple:
Super Mario 64: Super Mario Bro. 5 (since SMW was kinda like SMB4)
Super Mario Sunshine: Super Mario Bro. 6 or Super Mario Tropic
New Super Mario Bros.: Super Mario Bros. 7 (like you didn't see this one coming)
Super Mario Galaxy: Super Mario Bros. 8 or Super Mario: the Final Frontier
Mario Pinball Land: MarioBall or Good grief this stinks
-
Okay, seriously now...
"Super Mario Bros.: The Koopa Incursion"
"Super Mario Bros. 2: Return of the Koopas" (Japanese version)
"Super Mario Bros. 2: The Dream Machine" (American version)
"Super Mario Bros. 3: The Doom Ships"
"Super Mario Bros. 4: The Revolution" or "Dinosaur Land" ("Super Mario World")
"Super Mario Bros. 5: A New Beginning" ("New Super Mario Bros.")
"Super Mario Land: The Intruder"
"Super Mario Land 2: The Usurper"
"Yoshi's Island: Mario's Untold Story" ("Super Mario World 2")
"Yoshi's Island 2: Between the Pages" ("Yoshi's Story")
"Mario and the Transcendental Castle" or "Mario and the Palace of Peril" ("Mario 64")
I'm having far too much fun with this. : )

My turn! :D
Super Mario Bros: The War Against Koopa
Super Mario Bros II: Koopa Strikes Back
Super Mario Bros 2: World of Dreams
Super Mario Bros 3: Koopa's Revenge
Super Mario World: The Wrath of Koopa
Super Mario Land: Tatanga Attacks!
Super Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins
Super Mario Land 3: The Treasure of Kitchen Island
Yoshi's Island: The Origin of Super Mario
Super Mario 64: Mystery of Peach's Castle
Yoshi's Story: The Marvelous Tree of Mirth
Paper Mario: Legend of the Star Rod
Wario World: Curse of the Black Jewel
Super Mario Sunshine: Trouble in Paradise
-
Super Mario 3: Mario Adventure
SM64: Super Mario 3D
Super Mario World: Yoshis Island
Yoshis Island: Baby Mario's adventure
Donkey Kong: Monkey Kong
But if thats what those games were named, some of them might not have been that popular
-
Well, it's called Super Mario 64, because, well, I guess because of the n64, but it also had 64 bits.
-
Did anyone tell you why the Nintendo 64 was so named?
-
BUMP
SMB -- The Mushroom Chronicles: A Brand New World

...?
-
No idea what the post was supposed to be about, but I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone not knowing about the Enter key.
-
I think that's the fastest ban I've ever seen. That, and the fastest consideration as a nomination for the WTD Award.
-
He's 6? Look what parents are letting their kids do nowadays.
-
I looked at the website in his profile, and the bottom of the page said (c) 2006. That means there may have been a 4-year-old web designer out there not too long ago.
-
No way a 6-year-old could come up with a title as good as "Mario Hoops 3-On-Wii".
Someone should explain this ban. Guy seemed pretty cool from that one post. And if lying about your age is a crime, I'm pretty sure I saw someone here with a negative age......
-
I've got a negative age, but I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one.
-
Negative as in, negative on the number line, or negative as in, "I wish I were younger"?
-
Oh, great, now he's in Minus World, or whatever, like that grandma from Willy Wonka!
Well, bad grammar's not a sin, but the guy posted something completely irrelevant on a semi-dead thread with nigh-unreadable font arrangement.
-
So have 200% of all other noobs. Who knows, maybe he just misunderstood the point of the thread, and maybe he really doesn't know about the enter key. But banning someone for that one post is like, I dunno, harsh much?
-
Man, I'm using a different computer right now with a wider screen... it looks even worse.
Hey, is/was he/she/it a previous member that got banned and tried to get back on?

It's probably Boogalus.
