how much do you think a Sega Genesis in good condition is worth?
-
$20
-
Come on, now.
-
20.
All my Genesis units costed 20. And the one was 100% complete w/ a game. And the other came with a Sega CD.
-
The Genesis sitting behind me right now cost my brother and my father a total of $10, plus another five or six dollars because of the (minimal) cost of the 32X and a few games we bought later (Vectorman, Golden Axe, Sonic Spinball). It came with six controllers and like 15 games (fortunately, Shaq-Fu didn't work...unfortunately, Double Dragon V did).
-
I got my Sega 32X for about fifteen. Took forever to ship because the eBay seller was awful. It literally took two or three months to reach me. But the 32X isn't bad.
-
I think I got my Genesis/Sega CD/32X setup for a total of about $40. I work at a game store though so we don't always sell stuff at eBay prices.
-
costed
...*chuckles*
It's funny when people add prefixes or suffixes to words that don't need them.

:P It's how I speak.

Ive seen them sell for 5$ good condition with 1 game at game stop. If i could find a Sega CD or Sega 32X anywhere at game stop or somewhere like that I would buy it. But to bad you can rarely find them :/
-
eBay is perfect for cheap CD / 32X systems.
I wish I could find more games for reasonable prices though. One day at my local thrift store though, I found two games for the Sega CD, complete and in good condition for two dollars each; Tomcat Alley, and Guy-We-Break-Up-Over Vs The Kingpin.
(btw, I'm forbidden to say that superhero's name, so just assume)
Just be sure to look everywhere, Linkin800.
-
Okay now I'm confused.
-
My friends and myself have sort of a tradition, if you will, where we can't say the name of "Spiderman", because we actually know someone who broke up with our friend for saying it.

You could always say something like "Peter Parker's alter-ego", "the superhero is portrayed by Tobey Maguire" or something similarly ambiguous to prevent the use of the word without confusing people.
I wouldn't mind getting a Genesis, tbh...
-
I was only confused about why he couldn't say it. I knew fully what character he was talking about.

Usually I reference Peter Parker.
The Genesis is truly a great system. Main reason being, nearly every game except the rare gems that every system witholds is notably cheap. Plus, many of the games are incredibly good. Sonic, obviously,Phantasy Star II, III, and IV, Comix Zone, and so many more. I have nearly 100 Genesis games, not counting the 7 or 8 32X titles, and the 9 or 10 Sega CD titles.

I saw an NES and Sega Genesis at a flea market once. They were $30 each, and they were said to work perfectly. I'm still kicking myself.
-
You should have bagged the NES.
The Genesis, if it had more than just the system, hook ups, and controller, would be worth it too.
I wish there were good flea markets in my ghetto area.
-
I dunno man, there are some great Genesis games, but the cheap games are in fact pretty much not worth playing. Notable exceptions are Valis III, Alisia Dragoon, Exile, Lightening [sic] Force, Whip Rush... Half the games I own for Genesis actually cost $10 or more.
-
Yeah, but there's definitely some playable games for five dollars or less.
I only paid more than 10 dollars for less than five of my Genesis games, and I still have some keepers.
