Title: Create a Mario Character
Post by: Toad on February 21, 2008, 06:16:11 PM: Spawned from endless discussions with various friends and family, you come up with a name and a short description for a Mario character that you created (unless the name says it all, of course).

Please note: I know some of these came from that short round of random Shyguy names in the chatroom. I am not stealing your ideas by any means..

Die Guy: Shyguys with a gambling problem.

Dry Guy: Either a really thirsty Shyguy, or a dead one (the undead Shy Guy!)

Buy Guy: similar to the Coyote in the Warner Bros cartoons, Buy Guy keeps using the best equipment money can buy in order to stop the Mario crew.

FYI Guy: a very informed Shy Guy

Lie Guy: tells a lot of lies

Psy Guy: Shy Guy with psychic powers

Nye Guy: knows a lot about science! XD

.. and that's it for now.

The characters you make don't have to be limited to Shy Guys. I've had alot of these ideas for years, just never had a way to tell people about them.. until now. Ciao! :)

Post by: ShadowBrain on February 21, 2008, 06:31:24 PM: Yeah, I did the Shy Guy thing as a kid, too (they were for my planned Mario RPG--hey, I was little!)... Lie Guy, GI Guy, and Pirate Guy, among others (oh, and Brew Boo--A Boo with a witch hat and cauldron). Come to think of it, is there any Mario aficianado who didn't come up with at least one "Guy"?

Post by: The Chef on February 21, 2008, 08:09:29 PM: I thought up my own version of "Watoad" once. He looked like a bit fat Toad with chalky skin, a cold expression on his face, grey pants, a green vest and a Poison Mushroom for a cap. I was gonna use him in a game idea starring Toad.

I think I once created a cyborg rival for Mario a la Metal Sonic. He as called "Mecha Mario" and pretty much played the same role Shadow Mario did in SMS. I thought this character up before SMS was ever announced.
