I just saw the trailer and watched an interview with Mr. Boon, and I am actually a bit excited for this game. Anyone else looking forward to this title?

Dude. Awesome. I don't care if there aren't any fatalities (well, I do, but not too much), this looks just too cool. Now we just need a modern Robocop vs. Terminator.

I thought that the fatalities were the main selling point of MK, because the fighting engine sucks hard, and the SNES version with no blood proved it, because it hardly sold.

What's your point? Other than that Smash Bros. isn't a "fighter" in the traditional sense and that it doesn't include comic book characters.

Counter-point: Win! I was going to point those two things out myself, but they were put ever-so-eloquently.
I am not looking forward to this title. I didn't look forward to the Marvel vs. Capcom game, either.

The thing is, Marvel vs. Capcom is actually great fun.

I forgot to mention I generally have little interest in fighting games. I wouldn't be surprised if it was fun; I just didn't look forward to it.
Anyway, I should mention that I emphasized "not" as a result of my great distaste for Mortal Kombat as a series. Emotional scars and all that.

It's a good thing this is a new game, because in the Silver Age, Superman would own them all.

It's true, but I'm still getting it. It might just be stupid enough that it's worth playing for a while. I expect the inevitable comic book tie-in to provide more entertainment, though.

I love DC, and I'm apathatic towards MK, but the idea of playing as Batman in what's probably going to be a decent fighter wins out over how inferior Midways fighter is against Capcom's.
Then again, there's very few fighters that are better than a capcom produced fighting game.

Since when has a game involving DC comics characters been a good game (I say this with Superman games in mind)?

I was leaning more towards Batman, actually. Superman's a junky superhero. I'm aware Batman had some bad games (Forever, obviously), but the thought of Batman and MK characters duking it out seems cool to me.

Yes, but I doubt they'd use who Superman used to be, plus Superman wouldn't be that hot in a fighting game.
I really hope they do it well.
