Title: Who's your real-life hero?

I think you can tell a lot about a person from the people they look up to.  So, post your real life heroes here.  (no video game characters, please, unless you have a good explanation.)

MARIO! OF COURSE! WAYYYYY back in 1981 (wow that hard to believe that was so long ago) when I first got my hands on that wonderful joystick at age 7. I still remember that my mom only gave me a buck to use on it and it maybe only lasted 15 minutes but it was the fun that counted.

Gee, I was thinking more in terms of real people.  You know, reality?  Like, not fictional characters?

My hero would probably be either Carl Sagan or Charles Fort.

I'm a sucker, but I'd say my Mom. She's so nice, and I'm probably going to grow up to be like her anyway! Like mom, like daughter! Kudos to all the mothers out there!
