What is your favorite movie soundtrack?
For me, its a tie between Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean. I also like music from Star Wars, the Bourne series, and Harry Potter series.
What about you?
-
Requiem for a Dream and A Goofy Movie.
-
Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem has my favorite movie soundtrack ever.
-
NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind and Princess Mononoke have my favorite movie soundtracks.

Indeed he is.
I think I'd like more "epic" soundtracks more if they weren't played ad nauseum on ESPN. That being said, yeah, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean are good in terms of atmosphere and while watching the movie, but Star Wars and The Matrix... I'm itching to get ahold of some of those songs for reals.
-
Pirates of the Caribbean, I think. There's something catchy about the Narnia movies' music, though.
-
Twister has a good soundtrack
-
Ghostbusters, because of Ray Parker Jr.'s song of the same name.
-
Requiem for a Dream
/\ Easily the most frightening and disturbing movie I've ever seen.
-
John Williams is great and all, but Ennio Morricone is the best.
-
Monster's Inc is my favorite then Jurassic Park being my second favorite movie soundtrack. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is my third favorite movie soundtrack because It has revolving music that goes with the revolving chocolate at the begging of the movie. Although it wasn't composed by John Williams, it's still a good one. The original Willy Wonka version was pretty decent too.
-
Fight Club.
-
Some of my favorite movie soundtracks are; WALL-E, Disney's Tarzan, Napoleon Dynamite, a Shot in the Dark, any of the James Bond movies, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Spider-Man, Toy Story, Transformers: The Movie (1986), Flash Gordon, Lord of the Rings, Castle in the Sky and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
-
Pink Floyd's The Wall (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084503/soundtrack) and Highlander (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091203/soundtrack) have great soundtracks.

The Brave Little Toaster's music is the [dukar].
-
Have you noticed that the announced plot for Toy Story 3 (Pixar's plot, not Disney's stupid lame scrapped one) sounds a lot like Brave Little Toaster?
Have you also noticed that many of the people on Brave Little Toaster's crew and many of the people in Pixar are the same people?
I'm interested to see where this goes.

As in CROSSOVER? awwwwww YEAAHH
-
The two are somewhat similar... what was the last information released about TS3, again? I heard they dumped the plotline where Buzz has some sort of hazardous defect and gets sent back to Taiwan (no, I'm serious).
-
They dumped that, and I think the new one has Andy growing up and the toys going to find him.
-
I think that there should be a crossover, at least in that they could meet toys based on the cast of TBLT, or something. It would be majorly awesome, to say the least.
-
Growing up and going to college, no less. Definite parallels.
Also take into consideration that TBLT has a different, arguably happier ending than the book it's based on. IIRC, in the book, they end up with a new, completely different family rather than being reunited with the Master. Does that make it more or less likely that TS3 will end up with Andy bringing the toys with him? You decide.
And yes, a crossover would be pretty fricking sweet. I wish there weren't already sequels to it so Pixar could just do TBLT2, rather than having to do a 4 or an unnumbered one with a subtitle (the numbers are confusing anyway, since the second sequel is an interquel) or a continuity reboot. Although they're really not that bad for direct-to-video fare.
-
I thought the plot of Toy Story 3 started with Andy dropping the toys off at a day care center and the plot follows them having to adjust to a new life...so I doubt the endings will be the same.
-
Yeah, I think that's the newer plot, and it would make sense after all these years, anyway.
Also, TBLT was a book? Hmph, shows you what I know...
