Title: BEST AND WORST IN SERIES? Week 35: Cameos

Any Mario cameos from the pictures in Link to the Past, to the Metal Gear Solid mushrooms, what is the best and worst Mario cameo? (For a list of Mario Cameos, check TMK's Main Website!

Post by: BP on February 28, 2009, 11:21:00 PM: MGS:TTS didn't have mushrooms, Otacon had Mario and Yoshi figurines on top of his computer you could shoot for health.

My votes will come later. My best vote is currently F-ZERO X/GX for Mr. EAD, but I can't think of a cameo I really disapprove of.

Post by: WarpRattler on March 02, 2009, 06:43:44 PM: The Mario parody - not cameo - contained within Asterix & Obelix XXL 2: Mission Las Vegum (and the DS version, Mission Wifix) is hilarious and works well with the game's atmosphere, and wouldn't be deserving of a "worst in series" award even if it was actually a cameo.

Post by: Toad on March 02, 2009, 07:00:25 PM: I dont' have a BEST vote yet, but the WORST one I can think of is that gambling game with the character that looks strikingly like Mario, but has an 'F' on his hat (and his shirt/overall colors are reversed). It was recently discussed in one of the topics too..

I highly suggest you check this page out, then (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/GB). Alleyway is mentioned in the Mario Cameos/Allusions list for the Game Boy. Therefore, my vote is legitimate, I'm afraid. :D

I'm sure that Mario's appearence on the Box Art was a marketing ploy by Nintendo to sell more units. Also if whoever wrote the page considers Mario's appearence in Alleyway as a cameo, IT IS A CAMEO, capice?

Besides, the word "cameo" means (according to dictionary.com)
