And you also get to hear my voice and see my face. What a win/win/win situation!
Also, I actually bought the game. The first ending had me showing the receipt for it but I felt that wasn't safe so I recorded a new one. The first one also had me throwing a tantrum saying "NOW I can hate on WarioWare, I've actually tried it!" rather immaturely.
-
Hm. You got the Gamecube version. I would've picked the first GBA game, but whatever. It's almost the same game, this one has more multiplayer options..
But anyway, glad to see you're at least trying it. You're right: Now you can hate on it if you want too.. :(
-
I'm going to continue playing it, don't worry. I just wish it were a little less fast paced and wasn't too vague with the rules.
-
Black is white! Cats and dogs are lying together!
Nothing's wrong with the GameCube version, but you're definitely missing the point regarding the speed and the vagueness of the rules. You're supposed to think fast under pressure.

It's okay with me if you hate it. I love it. The GCN version is my favorite because of all the different modes and collecting. The GCN version lacks the "story" from the GBA version. The "story" is replaced with new cut scenes. Did you get to the cut scenes. Not much to them, but there is a little story there. That's also fine with me since I don't like a lot of story in my games. Wario Ware is all about the game play. If you don't like it that's fine. Just don't spend too much energy on hating it instead of loving the games you enjoy. For example, I don't enjoy romance novels, but I don't go around hating on them. Instead I talk about the science fiction novels I enjoy.
Edit: The vague rules are part of the beauty of Wario Ware to me. I enjoy figuring them out. I enjoy the Flash game Red Remover for the same reason.
-
Actually he bought the one WarioWare that has no story, since it's just the original games stripped of their context and put in a multiplayer format.
It's cool that you're trying WarioWare and cool that you made a vid for this!
In a perverse twist, I nowadays sort of share your hope that more WarioWare doesn't come out, because it would slow SPD1 from working on more Rhythm Heaven. :)
-
Mad props for trying the game. Now just remember that Ware and Land aren't in competition.
-
The reason I bought the GCN version is that if its available on Home Console and Portable, I prefer the Home Console version. If I had a Gamecube and Game Boy Player (the latter of which I regrettably sold) with me, I might have gotten the GBA version.
I just like playing on a TV.

Considering I didn't care much for the "story" in WarioWare (I guess it'd be part of the charm and all that, but seriously, all I cared about were the minigames), I guess the GameCube version would be up my alley. I've only played the first Warioware on GBA. But the fast pace and vague rules ("Detonate! Shake! Potato!") are the point of the game, to respond quickly to whatever crazy thing they throw at you. They're simple enough that the one-word description is usually enough for you to know what to do. Still, there have been some minigames that I had to play over and over to figure out how to play, such as that one where the little stick guy has to bounce on a trampoline but the controls are reversed.
Chup, are you saying that Warioware and Wario Land are not in competition? Absolutely, they're completely different games. Although personally I think they should have stopped at Wario Land 3. Liked the first one for the varied environments and some of the music (such as the train levels), but I prefer the second and third ones for having smart level design. You try to do anything to break the game and you won't be able to do it because a block or wall is placed just so to prevent you from doing that. Then you find out five minutes later there's a hidden wall you can break through. On top of that, the control's tighter and you can't die, so you never truly get stuck anywhere (unless you've wasted all your coins trying to pass that golf minigame). Only downside is that all the music in Wario Land 2 and 3 sounded similar to me, none of them really stand out. Well, except for "Out of the Woods" from 3 because it showed up in Mario's Tennis for the Wario Court.

Meh, you picked the wrong one. Touched!, Smooth Moves, and Twisted! especially, are the really fun ones.
-
He picked the best one, but you need to be playing 4-player to know why.
-
Really? You made me sit through the entire Jeopardy song? The whole thing?
Come on.
-
That's not the entire Jeopardy song. This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6rHqrLA7aw) is.

Nice apartment. =d
If his were in "you laugh, you lose!" you could have won.
The GBA version is a little better because like Toad said: The GBA has more multilayer functionality. You can also play it on the GameBoy player. I have and love all the Warioware games. It's a shame you don't like it but at least you finally played it regardless.
-
I actually said this version (the one he's playing) is the one with more multiplayer functions..

I played s'more last night. I have no idea what they want me to do in the "Curl it" micro game...
-
I must have been confused. :(

I played s'more last night. I have no idea what they want me to do in the "Curl it" micro game...
Want some help, or do you want to keep trying to figure it out..? :)

You keep pushing A until you are near the circle.
-
Yeah, I managed it.
Now I'm in Mona's level. Strange that Jimmy T's level was so difficult but so far, the following two aren't so hard.
-
I must confess, I didn't really know how to do the curling microgame either...
Yeah, it's good you're finally playing one of the games. I know you like using the TV, but I think the series is more well-suited to an on-the-go experience.
-
Part of the problem is my handheld screens get so dirty and smudgy. And I'm too lazy to clean them :p
Plus, at my age, when you're on the go, its more entertaining to just socialize.
-
I think I'm older than you and don't believe you're entirely correct.
-
Well if you're not at his age, then how would you know?
-
Being older than him I obviously was at his age at some point in my life.
-
I think I'm older than you and don't believe you're entirely correct.
Well then, the key word in your post is "entirely."
;)
-
Well, if you're around people you want to talk to, then talk to them. Of course socializing beats gaming, but there's times when the former isn't pleasant or possible. Long bus rides, maybe?

Your apartment looks like an apartment that I lived in, Tv_Themes..
