				According to Nintendo's latest financial report, New Super Mario Bros. Wii (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/nsmbwii) sold 10.55 million copies worldwide in 2009. The game, first released in Australia on November 12, only needed seven weeks to pass the 10-million mark. The first New Super Mario Bros. (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/nsmb), released in May 2006 for the Nintendo DS, ended 2009 with lifetime sales of 21.39 million units.
The report also provided life-to-date sales figures for three other Mario titles:
 - Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/mlrpg3): 2.62 million
 - Mario Kart DS (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/mkds): 17.28 million
 - Mario Kart Wii (http://themushroomkingdom.net/games/mkwii): 21.22 million
