My comment: How come Mario can grab starmen but goombas can't?

Mario can grab Starmen because he's awesome. Goombas aren't as high on the awesome scale, so they run away from Starmen.

Gosh, it's obvious that if ur mario and ur the one wid da controller, than you can pick it up, but the tiny goombas (hint) with no armscannot do anytin!!!!

Yeesh, how come everyone is talking about picking up the Starmen and stuff? I noticed that it was really quick. I mean, that guy finished the first two worlds in less than two minutes!

Perhaps the goombas just didn't notice it? If they were smart, they'd learn to avoid walking straight in to bottomless pits.

Also, do you guys know why he waited to get the star? Was that glitch at the end of the stage caused by the fact that he still had starman?

It's implied in Bowser's Inside Story that Bowser specifically instructs the Goombas to walk in a straight line.
