Title: Luigi's Voice.
Post by: juicyfruit03 on January 28, 2002, 03:27:57 PM
Mario Party 3 made Luigi's voice sound really dumb! They should of had the Mario Tennis Luigi do the voice, that voice was wonderful! Wario's voice in M.P. 3 was also lame, it was too low. Again, the Wario voice of Mario Tennis was great. Don't you think Nintendo should have their characters with only one voice?

Why does that dog keep staring at me?

Yes, I think all of the characters should have one voice only. I liked everyone's Mario Kart 64 voices best so I think that they should be the characters real voices.

 I''m-a Luigi, number one!

I loved Wario's voice in Mario Kart 64... it sounded like an evil elf!

The best Luigi voice is in Luigi's Mansion for GameCube... It is very crisp and clear, and Luigi is supposed to have a high voice (but the voices in Mario Kart: Super Circuit are TOO high!).

MICROSFT: Nintendo is so old, you should retire! You will fall to the wrath of Microsoft!

NINTENDO: Well, at least WE know how to make good games! Long live Nintendo!

SONY: I like cheese...

Hey! I like Mario and Luigi's accents. They may be cheesy accents that sound nothing like real Italians but I still like them.

 I''m-a Luigi, number one!

Yes, the goofy accents give them more character.

Yes, without the accents, they would sound like uninspired voice actors.

They had their accents in the Super Show, it just wasn't 'broken'. The only thing Luigi's ever said in non-broken English since 1996 is "Nice shot!"

You know, I just thought of something. Shouldn't Mario and Luigi have Brooklyn accents? ..But they don't. This suggests that they were recent immigrants from Italy *and* that they didn't spend much time in Brooklyn before Super Mario Bros (that is, before they were permanently transported to the Mushroom World ).

Any thoughts?

You get your accent from the people around you during your 'formative years'. Now, Mario and Luigi are Italian, they immigrated to NYC when the were young (why when they were young? Mario and Wario were childhood friends, and Wario is German), Mario and Luigi's family all spoke with an Italian accent, so that is why they have an Italian accent and not a Brooklyn accent.

Yes, of course he's German! He's says achtung a whole lot, and in Mario Golf, he does the German arm raising thing! Same with Waluigi in Mario Tennis!
