"Funky" is the name of a level in Special World, the place you go after getting all of the keys in all of the Star World levels.

After you beat it, alot of things change like Koopas wearing Mario masks. Unfortunatly they've seem have taken taht out in SMA2 :(

I think in SMA2 you have to finish *all* the levels to get that effect.

In the original Super Mario World, you don't have to beat all the levels to get to Star World.  Oh, and there's also Narley and Tubular.

  I like the way they changed Luigi's jump and appearance so that he doesn't look exactly like Mario.

you have to beat the whole game to get the color stuff now goombas have sunglasses and pokeys look like tamagachis and all the older changes

Goombas wearing sunglasses? What is Dinosaur Island coming to?? Okay, so it does make sense. This is a vacation island as the ads call it, so it'd only make sense for sunglasses to block the sun's rays and to make you look cool. Goomba weren't that cool, but now that they wear sunglasses, they just might be cool(er).
