I've always been known as the Mario Master, but there's one game I know next to nothing about: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island! I've always wanted that game, but could never find it. My mom, who is currently in the city, called me last night and she said she got me Yoshi's Island! But guess how much it costed: $50! 50! OMG! The guy there said that is was a really rare, wanted, game that was hard to find, but my mom got it for me. Finally I can play the Mario game I barely know anything about. I am happy. She also told me that the clerk said that other classics such as Robotrek and Super Adventure Island were over $100 in value! Wow. But there's more luck than that! My mom also got me Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2! Now I can play my 2nd favourite Mario game wherever I go!

Yoshi's Island... Now that's a great Nintendo game! Man, you don't know what you're missing until you play that game!
Yoshi's Island is the story of Mario's and Yoshi's origin. It takes place before Yoshi's Story (which is a continuation of the YI story).
In the introduction to the game, a stork is carrying a basket with both Baby Mario and Baby Luigi inside; they are traveling to the Mushroom Kingdom. An evil MagiKoopa known as Kamek has predicted the fate of the Baby Mario Bros. and tells Baby Bowser about it. Baby Bowser then sends Kamek out to capture the Mario Bros. before they are safely delivered to their parents. So, Kamek sets out into the night to find the stork. He manages to knab Baby Luigi, but Baby Mario falls from his grasp and plummets down through the sky; landing safely in front of a tribe of Yoshi's. Baby Mario then tries to communicate with the Yoshi's about his brother's kidnapping, and somehow, they understand him! So the Yoshi's take Baby Mario to Baby Bowser's Castle so they can rescue his brother from the clutches of Baby Bowser and Kamek.
That is what Yoshi's Island is about. In the game, you control one of the many different colored Yoshi's as they take Baby Mario on their journey to Baby Bowser's Castle. Along the way, they have to fight Shy Guys, Boos, Cheep Cheeps, Wigglers, Piranha Plants, and a bunch of new and exciting enemies that Baby Bowser has sent to stop them. Yoshi's Island was one of the most beautiful games on the Super Nintendo. It was the only Mario game to use the Super FX chip--a device that enhanced the graphics and special effects of Super Nintendo games. The chip was built into the game cartridge.
The greatest thing about Yoshi's Island is the gameplay. It harkens back to the old days of 2-dimensional platform games by including just about every danger and enemy from the previous Mario games (a lot like Paper Mario!)...
Yoshi's Island is an extremely beautiful game. It truly pushes the power of the Super Nintendo to its limits. There are tons of morphing special effects (where the characters can suddenly change shape within the game), and lots of transparency effects.
Hopefully, the Game Boy Advance re-make (yes, there will be a re-make for Game Boy Advance!) will include all of this and more...
HAVE FUN WITH YOUR NEW GAMES!

"Bwa ha ha! Guess who it is, loyal Mario fans...
It is I, King Bowser... ruler of all Koopas, big and small. I have come to take over the Mushroom Kingdom (no, not the place...I mean the WEB SITE!)! Deezer, you will surrender your troops to me, or else you will never see your precious Mario again! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"
