Title: are those koopas turtles or dinasure turtles?

well i think there Dinasure turtles! i mean there kinda both! im still going to the chat rooms and trying to find the real answer! so fare i fond nothing! thats wrong and it makes you sick cause im going around the world to find out! so when you right back at the bottom put what you think it is!

The Koopas are of an alternate line of evolution from anything on Earth, so they're not really either, they just resemble both through divergent evolution.

I think they are a race of turtle-like beings from another dimension, named after their adopted ruler Bowser Koopa.

There are Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas...so it has more to do with Troopa than anything else.

Turtles, what with Bowser being the turtle king (SMB instruction manual)... however, I do think the more dominant members (Bowser, Koopalings, etc) are evolved turtles with more strength and a vaguely human quality about them.
The rest of them are just lackies.

Well according to the SMB manual they are turtls, sence the name of Bowser's army is "The Turtle Tribe", so maybe there evolved turtles
