Title: SMB, SMB2, SMB3
Post by: iAMtheGOALIE1818 on July 03, 2002, 08:27:22 AM
Hey guys i was just wondering who here has beaten Super Mario Bros, SMB2, and SMB3?  i find it really really difficult without being able to save!  SMB is the only one i can beat because of the warp zone to world 8.

I've beaten 1 and 3. 2 is too hard. With warps, I got to 7-1, but I can't beat it.

I've beat them all on both NES and SNES, both 1 and 2 without warping, got bored of 3 by World 5. I had about 40 lives by the time I beat SMB2 without warping.

I've gotten to the flying Hawkmouth on NES SMB2 without getting HIT(And I was so d*mn close to beating the game perfect).

I beat it using Warp Whistles. But I have beaten every world, just not all in a row. I think World 7's harder to beat than 8. The easiest world to beat? 9, of course.

?

I've beat them all a while ago, and they're still as fun to play again and again, and trying to beat them in record times.  If you cannot beat them yet, than you are weary of Mario!  Practice makes perfect!

Warp Zone to world 8 is in level 4-2. Underground. It's tricky, but I remember seeing it diagrammed all over the place. maybe someone here can post a pic if they have one.

Here is the map from this site. You'll see the place to access it, first group of floating bricks with the vine after the pit with elevators. It's tricky to break the bricks and invisible blocks in the right order, but figure it out and go to World 8!

I have beaten all of them. Though I had to use a Game Genie on 3 at first.. Actually, I had to use one on all three at first.

wow.

I beat all three SMB games going throughout them without warping.  After years of childhood playing I adapted and got better as I grew up.  I also beat the Lost Levels, SMW, SMW2, and got all 120 stars in SM64!

One of the hardest Mario games, Super Mario Land, I have NOT  beaten yet... :-(

Although I have beaten Super Mario Bros. 2, on Game Boy Advance--both the Yoshi's Challenge [which is pretty d*mn hard] and the original mode. NO WARPS!

I have also beaten Paper Mario, with almost all the badges [about... 40?].

Here's the rest:
Super Mario 64 [N64]
Super Mario Bros. 1 [NES]
Super Mario Bros. 2 ->[see above][NES]
Super Mario Bros. 3 [NES]
Super Mario Land 2 [GB]
Super Mario Land 3 [Wario Land][GB]
Wario Land 2 [GB]
Wario Land 3 [GBColor]
Wario Land 4 [GBAdvance]
Super Mario World [SuperNES]
Yoshi's Story [N64]
Paper Mario [N64]
Super Smash Bros. [N64 version]
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe [GBColor]
...
I can't remember the rest...

Some interesting facts about Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.
- It is actually the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2
- It introduces new enemies [flying Bloobers and larger Fire Bars]
- For the United States, it was first featured in Super Mario All-Stars [SMB:LL] then Super Mario Bros. Deluxe [Super Mario Bros. for Super Players]
