Dear Mario Fans: What makes Toad so unique as compared to the other mushroom civilians? Is it because he helps out whenever he can? In the original SMB which one was Toad? All of them said the same thing and they all looked the same. He finally distinguished himself in SMB 2. Is there something in the comics that makes him special? I like Toad I just want an explanation:) Shalom!

Toad is the name of the species. His name is Kinopio.

In my dream, the world had suffered a terrible disaster. A black haze shut out the sun, and the darkness was alive with the moans and screams of wounded people.
Suddenly, a small light glowed. A candle flickered into life, symbol of hope for millions. A single tiny candle, shining in the ugly dark. I laughed, and blew it out.

I suspect that Toad was in the seventh castle. The Toads are named after Toad.
He's the best Mushroom Person <-- species name
and now all the Mushroom People's last name is Toad.
I decided to go hire a signature... but he charged too much, so I fired him. Yeah, him.

Toad is a big help in SM2 because he's a fast runner, and he's the fastest picker-upper of vegetables. On the downside, he can't really jump too high though.

You know, say... goats can tell eachother apart, even though all the goats look the same? There's probably small differences between all of the Toads.

Yeah, kinda like Americans can't tell some oriental people apart, and vice-versa.
