What's your favorite painting level in SM64 ??
It''s-a me, Mario !
-
It's a tie between all 15.
I decided to go hire a signature... but he charged too much, so I fired him. Yeah, him.
-
I would have to say the ones in Bowser's final castle. His levels are very colorful and challenging.
Super Saiyan Vegeta

Is the level with Bowser's sub considered a painting level? The entrance seems more of a wall of water to me.

In my dream, the world had suffered a terrible disaster. A black haze shut out the sun, and the darkness was alive with the moans and screams of wounded people.
Suddenly, a small light glowed. A candle flickered into life, symbol of hope for millions. A single tiny candle, shining in the ugly dark. I laughed, and blew it out.

It counts
It''s-a me, Mario !

I like levels with koopa the quick
Oh yeah.....i''''m back and ready to....well....ready to...um....yeah
-
I find a lot of fun in the "Cool Cool Mountain" course, because it really is a blast sliding down those slopes.
-
Either Hazy Maze Cave, Rainbow Ride, or Tiny Huge island.
Pretty funny, eh Mikey? -Legion, Shadowman
-
Rainbow Ride, Big Boo's place, or Dire, Dire docks.
-
that sandy desert level is great!
It's-a penalty kick!

Probably Big Boo's Haunt, but I also love Hazy Maze Cave and Tall Tall Mountain. And the big clock!
Which one do you HATE the most? I'd have to say that I find Jolly Roger Bay very boring, but Lethal Lava Land is the most frustrating. I almost cried trying to get the 100 coins star. :D
"We took pity on him because he''d lost both parents at an early age. I think that, on reflection, we should have wondered a bit more about that."

Id have to go with any of the Snow Levels.
It''s the same only different!
-
Here they are: all 15, favorite to least favorite.
Lethal Lava Land. -- Ride that shell! Woooo!
Tall Tall Mountain -- I don't know why, I just like it.
Tick Tock Clock. -- Though I hate the 100 coin one.
Rainbow Ride (name?) -- The triangle one rulez.
the 4th one (forgot name) -- So much stuff to do...
Whomp's Fortress -- So much fun... but a lil easy.
Shifting Sand Land -- Gotta love the pyramid!
Snowman's Land. -- I can't say much about this one...
Boo's level (forgot name) -- kinda sloppy layout
Tiny-Huge Island -- hard to get around.
Bob-omb Battlefield -- EAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSY!
Hazy Maze Cave -- Even harder to get around.
Wet-Dry World. -- I don't know; It just isn't my kind of level.
Dire Dire Docks -- *bad Austin Powers impression* Water levels just ain't my bag, baby.
Jolly Roger Bay (name?) -- BOOOOOOOOORING!
There we are, man I am soooooo bored to be typing this out. Ah well.

What? Someone made a really dumb comment? This looks like a job for...
CYNICMAN!!!!!
That''s right! CynicMan, protector of tactlessness, enforcer of raw, abusive sarcasm!
Cynicman: What kind of introduction is THAT? It''s not even a sentence!

Jolly Roger Bay.
-
Oh boy, so many levels to choose from!
Well, I really love Whomp's Fortress [only why can't you explore INSIDE the fort, instead of outside it?].
I also love Big Boo's Haunt because it reminds me of the Ghost Houses in Super Mario World.
I also love Bob-Omb Battlefield because it is similar to Super Mario Bros. 3.
Tiny Huge Island is the one level that mostly resembles Super Mario Bros 3. Remember in SMB3 when you could change size by entering those special doors in Giant Land?
Rainbow Ride is also a good one [and a bit too challenging].
Lethal Lava Land is really fun--riding around the lava on a Koopa Troopa Shell. Inside the volcano is also pretty cool.
Shifting Sand Land is really fun, cause it reminds me of the desert levels in Super Mario Bros. 3.
All of the Bowser courses are really fun [and tough to beat].
Tick Tock Clock is by far one of the hardest levels in the entire game, simply because of all the moving platforms. It's cool how you can change the speed by jumping into the clock's face at a certain time.

Tall, Tall Mountain is loads of fun, and it's all skillz! Toughest slide level in the game! Nearly every skill you have will be tested here. Wall jump "practice" is best in Rainbow Ride, though.
Big Boo's Haunt...Where are the exit puzzles?! What happened to how easily you get lost? The only REAL puzzle in the level is that stupid book thing that can be easily solved by simple trial and error.
Joly Roger Bay, Dire, Dire Docks, and Wet-Dry World. Good for your water skills, but this is as far as the water skills will be tested (only about half of the levels).
Cool, Cool Mountain, Shifting Sand Land, and Snowman's Land. It's really funny if you can get Mario to land in the snow or sand head first from a high area.
Mario, Mario, Mario! What happened to Mr. Andretti?
-
Well, since I'm a major Boo fan, I'd have to say The Big Boo's haunt. But after that I like the Clock level and then Rainbow Ride.
King Boo isn't dead! He will return...
