So I don't have to explain later, I'm putting up this message now to let you know that I have changed my user name from â€œMarioBrosâ€ to â€œWatoad.â€ I felt that MarioBros lacked originality on my part, so I wanted something a little more creative. Watoad may not be perfect, but it's better in my opinion. I made it up, at least.

The reason I used MarioBros in the first place is that "mariobros" is my screen name at Nintendo.com. Many people know me at Nintendoâ€™s site -- if I change my screen name there, mass confusion could result. So Iâ€™ll just leave it alone.

And the reason for my choosing of Watoad should come up in the next Mailbag; hopefully an e-mail of mine will be in it. You can read a little more about that in an earlier thread of mine:

About an hour ago goodie posted a topic called "Stuff" in General Mario chat that mentioned another one of these old forum categories. And, from what he said, it sounds like he somehow has control of it. Is that true? Are you in control of such things, too?

I get the feeling that there's this pocket of Fungi Forums knowledge about which everyone knows but me. Oh well.

Post by: Watoad on January 19, 2003, 04:43:11 PM: I'm guessing that Pink King Boo changed his name to Bowser,King Of Koopas, later decided he'd rather just stay with Pink King Boo, and so gave Bowser,King Of Koopas to his little brother. He will probably stick with Pink King Boo from now on.

I think your user name is fine. No one says you need to change it.
