Ooh...first post!
Does anyone else here belive that whoever coded, produced, designed or whatever, was high or trippin at the time? It's a very surreal game! Goombas...yes, they're mushrooms...and Koopa Troopas are Turtles which relates with Bowser but Shy Guys? Birdo?????? Scary! I mean it could be true cause lots of famous authors (such as Lewis Carrol when he wrote Alic in Wonderland) were stoned when they wrote some of their stuff...just thought I'd ask...

I read somewhere that in Japan you can buy over-the-counter painkillers that contain codeine.  If you're experiences with taking a lot of codeine, that explains alot.
