RIGHT then. First my PC messes WAY up. When I get my PC to work again, the hard drive has been wiped, along with my favorites. (Um ... I guess I gotta remember the address in future. ^_^)
Next, the freakin' internet doesn't work, then it breaks again. Then ,my PC messes WAY up. When I get my PC to work again, the hard drive has been wiped, along with my favorites. Next, the 'freakin internet doesn't work, then it breaks again. (Geez ... talk about a pattern!)
Next, I go and get obseesed with Pokémon Sapphire and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, resulting in another two weeks lost. Finally, my PC works again! Now I can talk to my loyal fungi friends again. (Btw, Helmo has left, or rather entered a stage of eternal inactivity, 'cos he thought playing games is much better than making friends. When will these ppl learn? ^_^)
Oh yeah. Did you know? I'm 17. Bet'cha didn't know THAT, huh?

So? I'm 16 and'll be 17 in Sept; what's your point?
Anyway, I hope your luck will pick up. :)

I'm not quite 17 ... I am in June, actually. (Funny signature! Referring to Link, right?)

I have a question for you Yoshi No. 6. What on earth is a Jaffa cake? Im 16, and will be 17 in Dec. still the youngest one here...
It‘s-a me, Marionut#1!

Wooooooooo!! Go late-'86ers!! (Actually, I've noticed a surprising amount of '86ers--those born in the good 'ol year of the Tiger, 1986, here.)
Oh, and thank you on the sig. :)
No, it's not referring to Link. Although, now that I think about it... Heh.
Actually, it refers to an invisible creature I blame things on (kind of like a gremlin). When my mom asks, "what happened!?" or "Why is/are the...", etc. when something unexplained or bad happens (and I don't think it's my brother), I blame it on the "little green elves." Counteracting them, whenever something GOOD happens that wasn't me, or my mom says something like, "who will <do this>?" I say the "magical fairies." :)

I'll be 17 in December.
Another "late '86er."
-
Yes, I already knew you were one of them. (Ha! Through the magical power of piecing information together, I already figured out your b'day was in Dec '86 a while back :) )

I think Steve's "one of us," too. But you probably already knew that too.
-
Yes, I did. I almost added that to my last post, too. I know there are more of us... I'm trying to remember...
Frostbite, perhaps? Wait, I think he said he was already 17.

Deep inside us all is a little green elf telling us to burn things.
-
...Are you sure? For some reason, I thought he was younger than me.
-
I dunno. There are SOOOO many people here, and besides, I can't put names with faces...heheheh.
CashCrazed is younger...maybe you're thinking of him. Ah well. Maybe I should start a thread about when everyone's birthday is or what their ages are... Then THEY can tell us.

Hehe ... this IS one of 'em threads. Oh yeah, a Jaffa Cake are these funny little cake thingys make of chocolate with sponge on the top, which taste like oranges. They're really tasty, and they're popular over in the UK.
Hang on? Enough of the b'days ... where does everybody live? I'm interested in knowing? (Heh, funny little cake thingys.)
(And where in the world of mittens has Cabbog gone?) Like my new username? I thought 'Yoshi No. 6' was a bit too treacherous to type in, (could of been worse ... 'THE EVIL DUCK FROM THE VALLEY OF THE POPPADOMS!' is an example.) so I asked Deezer to abbreviate it to 'Yoshi6'. Sounds better too.

There already *IS* a thread as such. It's in Genreal Chat and called "Where do you live?" --or something like that. :)
Hmmm...I haven't seen Cabbog in a while...

I'm USA all the way, baby! Wooooooo!! ...born in our Nation's Capitol--DC, been to 30 states, and never even been out of the country!
--------------------
Deep inside us all is a little green elf telling us to burn things.
-
You must really love the place, then. Maybe you could visit me, sometime?
All Jaffa Cake haters must be exterminated immediately.
-
Heheh... It'd be cool to visit another country (escpecially one that speaks English. :) ) I once SAW Mexico, though. On vacation in San Diego. It was right across the river. :)
I've only been to so many states because we moved, driving from Maryland to Cali. We also have relatives and friends (that have moved) in other states that we visit.
And once our "vacation" was traveling to different places across the US. Ugh. That was NOT fun. Being a 9-year-old stuck in a stifling car in the middle of July with your parents and 7-year-old claustrophobic brother most of the day...spending the night in humid motel rooms and sharing a bed with your mother while everyone SNORES incredibly loudly and brother keeps waking up with a bloody nose in the middle of the night...not much entertainment...cite seeing places you couldn't care less about...humid, hot, sticky, unbearable weather...and being stuck OUTDOORS and with THEM... let's just say it wasn't the most pleasant of experiences.

Wow! You guys are old! Shouldn't you be "hanging out" at the movies or something? Anyway, I'm thirteen, turning 14 on Nov. 28th. I live in Maryland, in a suburb outside of D.C. which I shall not name.
-
Boo hoo for me, I may be one of the youngest, I am 12
Sapharria, (I hope thats how you spell your name)
"Deep inside us all is a little green elf telling us to burn things." This is your sig? Right? well I was recently watching the Simpsons, and Chief Wighams son, (Ralf, or some thing,) points to a rock, and says to Bart, "Thats where I saw the leprecon!"
"He told me to burn things!"
Is that where you got the idea for your new sig?

"Hanging out at the movies?"
How could that be fun? Standing around in movie complexes sounds pretty darn boring to me.
Anyway, I'd like to go to Japan. That would be cool. I like the US, but I've been through almost half the place.

And I'm too lazy to learn Japanese. Instead, estoy ensenando espanol.
And yes, I am one of those Dec. 1986 birthday people as well. Yay.
Congratulations! You have just been blessed by the wisdom of Steve.

What day?
It‘s-a me, Marionut#1!

I'm not very good at Japanese either. But I'm learning, slowly but surely, and all on my own. I wonder about learning all 2000 kanji though...
-
It's actually "Sapphira".
Heheheh... Yes, actually, Ralph's li'l quote in that episode is where I got the idea for my sig. :) Hehe...I love The Simpsons, and I love Ralph. He's so cute and stupid. :) ...Actually, I do an excellent voice impression of him.

Heh, you know, your sig reminds me of a funny Daily Victim article at Gamespy.
-
Hmm. A magazine I read said there were 2000. Oh well. I guess one of us should go check.
-
lol, CashCrazed. That was hilarious.

!? Did he just use ... HTML? Hmm, maybe that's the 'Powers' Sapphira was talking about. Okay, tell me HOW you did it? I know how to do links but ... I'll test here. TESTING ... Test (http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/board)

Alright, Yoshi6, just pretend you never saw that. HTML isn't meant to be used here, so, just don't try to. Trust me, it'd be better that way.
As for japanese, Chupperson Weird is correct. There is about 2000 kanji. 1,945 to be exact. However, I suggest that you learn how to speak and understand the language first, and then follow up on reading and writing. It's not like other languages where you can just pick it up knowing basically how the words sound. Although, I'm sure you both already knew such things.
-
No there is over 10,000 Kanji. However, the Japanese government, after WWII nationalized only about a thousand some, and only about 900 some are used in every day japanese.
It‘s-a me, Marionut#1!
-
It seems you're partially correct, as was I and Chupperson Weird.
There are several thousand Kanji. However, "the government declared a set of 1,945 characters as the kanji for everyday use," not 900.
I was only taught of the 1,945, as they're all you really need to know. However, upon researching, you're correct as well.
My reference: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2046.html
And so, there we are.

I said it was a thousand and some. then I said that ONLY ABOUT 996 ARE USED IN EVERYDAY LANGUAGE. There that should clear it up....

Well I'm gonna change the subject back to birthdays....
I was born on June 13, I turned 13 on Friday 13th and will be turning 19 this June. Man, I feel old now.
-
Freaky! @_@
I mentioned this in the Mario Bar (Page 93, I think), but I was born on Saturday, September 20, 1986. This is EXACTLY one year, one week, and one day of the week AFTER Super Mario Bros. was relased in Japan--Fri, Sept. 13, 1985--which, coincidentially, was also a Friday the 13th.
