There was a Mario reference in "The Fairly Odd-Parents" show.  When the godparents must save Timmy from an ape, he looks exactly like Donkey Kong and throws barrels at Timmy.

Also, in this weeks mailbag, Megabyte said that Culex is not from any Final Fantasy.  He is, however, from Final Fantasy 2.

He throws a barrel at that guy that use to date Wanda.

I used to think Culex was from FF2 also, but he's not.

Final Fantasy 2? I assume you're talking about Final Fantasy 4, for the SNES.

 And it is true, Culex is not in FFIV. Nor is he in the NES FFII. He's just a generic Final Fantasy-type boss, with the crystals and such.
