     A machine turns on. A low base tone ecohs in and out. The machine produces a golden pice of liquid metal. It pures upon a convayor belt, wich leads to a press. The liquid is pressed into shape. The face is printed with a Smiley. Smiley_1000GE is born! :)

But since the cage was over a lake of acid he fell in and died.

No. The Smiley_1000GE broke out of the cage. Climbed up the rope that held it over the acid, and went to the top of the lifter. Climbed down into the controls. Jerked you out, and held you dangaling above the acid. :)
