I LOVE mario games but It would be amazing to stop thinking mario is "Kiddy". I have a few suggestions to boot.
1. Bowser should not capture peach again! (That story is old)
2. Peach should change her clothes to look more modern and shorten her name to just "Peach"
3. Mario & Luigi don't always look happy and have deeper and slighly more aggressive voices, but not too much,
4. Modernise the settings a bit.
5. Have an accomplyfing Anime TV Show (Sonic has one, so why dosen't Mario?)
6. Bowser is an angry menacing dictator (Unkike his 'Sissy' apperance in Mario Sunshine
and Lucky 7. Release Mario 128 Sooner or later!
This is just opinion and I don't want him to go to extreme like they did with Conker.

Peach looking like she's from DOA: Beach Volleyball, Mario having his own anime T.V. show, and a mud fight against Daisy is the stupidest idea I've ever heard. Peach should wear that skirt that she wore in the N64 Mario Tennis.

Geeze, what is it with guys and "babes" with skimpy clothes (and unrealistic figures, for that matter)?
That's part of the reason why I hate PS2; all of their games portray women that way. How very degrading, insulting, and offensive.

Kooper's got it right. SM64 will ALWAYS be the best and they need to go back to the formula.

Also, why are you people so paranoid about human evolution? The people who admired others' bodies had more kids, and they had a good chance of doing the same, they had more kids, those kids did the same. Human sexuality, played to or not, is there. It exists. Don't run. It's not sick, or gross, or perverted. It is natural, immensely helpful, and is the only thing that kept the human race from dying out. No mating, no attraction, then no Fungi Forums. No society to think it's "sick," no underwear packages (pun intended) to admire, no beach volleyball to be popular, and most importantly to me...I wouldn't exist.

Wow, Supershine. Those are THE worst ideas for a Mario game, since Super Mario Moonshine. The only reason Rare made Conker a "bad boy" is because at first, he was nothing more than another loser Rare character (like Banjo & Kazooie). Rare figured Banjo & Kazooie were way to childish to attract adults and older kids, so they made Conker an "older person" mascot. Mario, on the other hand, can never be an "older person" mascot. You know how long Mario has been the kids hero? 20-22 years! Look, a consle mascot has GOT to have these things in order to be a consle mascot:
1.Has to be a kid friendly character. He (or she) can NOT have violent weapons, like Master Chief. His weapons must be cute little weapons, like FLUDD.
2. The character MUST be likeable. This is one reason why Sony decided to not have Crash Bandicoot as there mascot.
3.The mascot can not be ugly. No offense to Abe, but he is way to ugly to be Xbox's mascot.
PS My idea for the next few Mario games is for Luigi to be a second playable character, just like in the old games.

Hey, I'm not saying only kids like Mario (hey, I'm about 500 years in human years. Of coarse, thats only 24 in vampiric). I'm saying, it would be stupid if he went "Conker" bad. I'm not saying I hated Conker's Bad Fur Day (I actually loved it), I'm just saying, after 20-22 years, would you really want Mario to become a bad boy? That chew a HUGE hole out of his popularity. And you have to remember: Mario is more popular and known in the U.S.A. than Mickey Mouse. 'Tiss a fact, yes!

I think a new Mario anime would be a grand idea (despite nintendofreaks whineing, only because he hates anime). I think Mario deserves one. Pokemon (which is still cool, despite all of you guys hating), Kirby (which fully captures "Kirbiness") and Sonic (finally, a Sonic cartoon that doesn't suck, despite the fact of Urkal still playing the voice of Sonic) all have there own anime. Why doesn't Mario? And hopefully, if they do make one, it will be a real anime, not a stupid anime wannabe, like Teen Titans or Totally Spies.

If they do make a Mario anime, it cannot go down the same path as Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh!. This is why I reject the idea of a Mario anime. They need a different stragety to make it full of action and they need to make it available in the afternoon, not just on weekends, and on a well-known cartoon channel that everyone watches.

My idea to try and boost Mario popularity is to:
Release a animated theatrical film (not like the live-action SMB move, but more or less based on the cartoon show) and have one of the episodes from SMB3 or World shown ahead (if they're willing to seriously crop, cut off and format the picture to fit the 2.35:1 screen, unless they film the main feature in 1.37:1)

I think I see where Sapphira was coming from--those are unrealistic expectations for women. Appreciating the human body isn't wrong, but it also isn't "natural," if you're going to go that way with it, for people to induldge too much in purient interests--sure, they make you exist, but if that's all we concentrate on, then people start to deviate--pretty soon, no one would be happy unless they had some unorthodox quirk or fetish, or they were homosexual or whathave you, and eventually reproduction would just stop!
Lol... maybe that was a bit of a stretch. But you have to have a happy medium. Happy, like Mario. Medium, like... a cheeseburger at McDonald's.
Don't change Mario, don't wish him changed. Mario is great. We see his greatness when we are fans, and he couldn't be more appealing. Change him, and he isn't "our" Mario anymore. You don't come to Mario, Mario comes to you. You're either born with it, and cultivated in it, or you'll never have it. We can't integrate people into Mario--being a Mario fan requires a certain persona, a certain way of life, a certain respect for certain things--and with all that certainty required, it would take a lot of changes to make him appeal to the swaying mass of "pop-culture": and then, would he even be Mario anymore?

What about more, different bad guys to replace Bowser and his Goons. Plus, the Names. Its all about the names. I know Mario is supposed to appeal to kids, but come on! Joke's End? Chucklehuck Woods? Woo-hoo Hooniversity? At least change the names!

It's more common in Japan.
I know everyone's saying it's natural to like that, but not so natural to want to see it in a Mario game. It'd surely change my opinion if they had a game like that.
