In MK:DD Birdo has eggs similar to yoshi's, but with pink spots. They were white earlier. Also, she does not expell them from her mouth as is the classical Birdo tradition.
-
I dunno, maybe it's evolution, lol.
-
If you think that's weird, wait 'till you hear about how it used to be a boy that wanted to be a girl.
*LD gets hit with a trout.*
-
That was a falsehood created by the idiots at Nintendo of America. Birdo - Catherine, that is, has always been female.
-
You people forget...
What's even more weird is that BOTH male and female yoshis lay eggs!!

-
I just find it weird that Yoshi's don't take better care of their eggs. And how does eating produce eggs. It's like a cross between the digestive and reproductive organs.
-
All yoshi's are identical other than color and size so how can you tell if they are boy or girl? Maby they have no gender like godzilla.
-
Hey, Birdo!
Can you tell the difference between a male zebra and female zebra?
No? I thought not...

"It's like a cross between the digestive and reproductive organs."
Hey! Just like Deep Throat!
I’m not stupid, I’m LD.
-
Yes, i can. Male zebras have much wider black stripes than females. Also, they have different reproductive orogans. Yoshis, however, have no gender distinction and populate by asexual reproduction.
-
Asexual reproduction!?
Can you explain how do yoshis reproduce asexually? Explain the eggs! Explain how a large, multi-cellular organism like yoshis does asexual reproduction!!
Birdo...
A "scientific" thesis without any reasonable explaination whatsoever, is really a very bad thesis!!

Umm ... IT'S A CARTOON WORLD, PEOPLE! There are no answers to these questions!
Nothing says lovin’ like Chupperson from the oven.
-
Yoshis lay eggs without intercourse, the definition of asexual reproduction. The "A" stands for no.
-
Godzilla does it! A very similar species!!!
-
Birdo!
You ought to know by now that yoshis lay eggs all the time, especially males!
Those eggs are used for protection of themselves and other yoshis/creatures!
In order to produce offspring, those eggs has to be... er... fertilised!! Much the same way done like birds or reptiles, and we know that science proved that those real-life creatures reproduce sexually.

Hope(N Forever) is right, since the eggs that we always see come out of Yoshi do not have fetuses in them, i.e. they are not fertilized through sex. The only times that baby Yoshis come out of eggs, the eggs were already sitting there, perhaps left behind by a careless father or mother Yoshi. And he's also right that eggs imply sexual reproduction.

?!?
I’m not stupid, I’m LD.

i have seen yoshis lay eggs that hatch into baby yoshi's. i watched him lay it. Maby food is yoshi sperm. Hmmmmmmm... Maby yoshis have both an egg gland and a food to sperm conversion gland.
Has anyone seen tremors 2 aftershock, the shreikers eat and when theyve eaten enough they cough up an egg that hatches into another shreiker who eats and eats and lays another egg witch hatches...........and eats........and lays......witch............ .................................
(Later)
And so that one eats and lays another egg witch hatches into another shrieker.
what was i talking about?
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Where did you see this Yoshi lay the later-hatched egg?
I’m not stupid, I’m LD.
-
...The only eggs I've seen Yoshi lay are the ones with ememies in them...
The ones that hatch into baby Yoshis aren't the ones from swallowing enemies.
There is no correlation between the two, so there's really no room to hypothesize about this because the two types of eggs are for different things and are therefore probably created differently.
^ That's probably the longest I've ever gone without a comma.

It seems that most fictional reptiles reproduce asexually, Godzilla, Shriekers, Yoshi, the spider in arachniphobia ok, so thats not a reptile, I am sorry I brought this up, wait... I thought that this was a discussion about Birdo's eggs being the wrong color and coming from the wrong place. Who thinks this was a good idea to change her eggs.

a food to sperm conversion gland
Must . . . refrain . . . from inappropriate comment! But it's so ha--difficult.

Go ahead, I can see nothing inappropriate about a gland changing food to sperm, You are like a giggling little school child that laughs at the word sperm...

You just want me to get banned! Heh. I'm sure some of the more dirty-minded posters here can work it out for themselves.
