How do you get Shadow Mario & Bowser Jr.?

To get Shadow Mario, complete all the holes in One-Player Ring Attack. To get Bowser Jr, complete the Birdie challenage on 18 holes. First you have the play the first eight without losing, then the last eight without losing, and then all 18 holes at once.

I still have yet to unlock Bowser Jr.... the all 18 Holes mode is too difficult. I have gotten to the 16th Hole, but that's as far as I've gotten. Has anyone actually been able to unlock him yet?

I have I used Waluigi for it though. And I used Koopa Troopa to get Shadow Mario.
