Ok, they're supposed to be fun, but here's a brief synopsis of what video games did to me:

Well, I was put in anger management, and now I have to take anger pills, because VGs turned me into one ****ed off SOB.  Not only that, I'm already heavily medicated (ya know, ADHD [Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder], and various other minor mental illnesses), I mean like everyone's obsessed, but I was never able to play a vg for more than 1 hour, then I'd have to go do something else, usually athletic oriented because it's outside or in a rink and the freshness and adreneline are too much.
Now, I hardly ever play video games anymore because 1) I'm too busy, and 2) It's not good for my ****ed offness.
And then there's my impulsion, to do stuff without thinking, constant bets and extreme activities that I'm involved in, such as going out at midnight and climbing poles and streaking neighborhoods.

Yep, my immatureness is a lot stronger than most people, but my anger was caused by video games.

Video games make me angry too. I mean, they're so enjoyable and fun and bring so many people happiness and reprieve from the problems of life. GRRR. HULK SMASH.

You don't want to know how frequently I've attacked myself over video games. Paticularly the Mario Kart series when I'm trying for a certain time. I also have (albeit a mild case of) ADHD, although that is the only med I take right now.

Yes, I have a short fuse. I don't think it is immaturity, merely a short fuse. I've alwys become angry at the drop of a hat.

I know people who throw the controllers around when they mess up. I've (thankfully) never been hit.
In fact, an interesting thing happened because of this.
My cousin used to own "Sonic 3D Blast" for the Sega Genisis. One day, after a particularly bad atttempt at playing it (he's not terribly good) he threw the controller at the console itself.
Suddenly, the screen turned blue, and "Congratulations, you've found the secret level select screen!" popped up.
I recently bought the game  from a friend, but can't seem to reproduce the effect.
Anyway, I don't usually pitch too much of a fit when I'm mad at a game. I don't lose my temper easily.

I used to get angry at video games.... when I was like 5. Now I've learned to control my anger. Why'd you even make this topic? To gain remorse from people? If so, then it worked for I know what it's like to get angry at a video game.

Uh... First of all, ADD and ADHD don't really exist. They are side-effects of other factors in people's lives. At least, this seems obvious to me.

I have never gotten mad at a game. Games are nothing to be angry at; they are not alive, they are merely programs, interactive stories designed to be conquered. There is simply no point in getting mad at them; it won't change anything; the game doesn't know you're mad at it, and it certainly does you no good.

My brother quasi-freqently gets mad at/over games, and I am always baffled as to why he does. It is illogical.

Games did not make you who you are, Todd.

Being angry at video games is quite normal, especially when you're playing the arcade or puzzle genre...
For example, you almost managed to break the hi-score in some game you're playing, but somehow you fail in the very last minute...

This can get frustrating, especially when you are playing it for a very long time under nerve tension, and it causes you to be very angry indeed...

Do you ever get so mad that you hit something, then when you hit whatever you were gonna hit, it hurts making you even MORE mad?

If you loose at a video game, it's your fault, not the games. Being angry at yourself  for not being good enough is the best solution. I just say "oh well" and start over. Like when I was playing 100 man melee, and got 99 KO's, and lost.

How 'bout if you're playing 15 minute melee and a bob-omb spawns on top of you while you're screw-jumping, a mere 15 seconds from the end?  There are surely SOME cases you can blame on the game (or random chance).

Why would I deny it? I'm a video game addict. A fanboy. Video games pretty much make up my life. And trust me, all the bad things video games have done to me (impatient to play in school, getting angry easily, etc.), I still think it's all worth it for their fun. :salutes his Gamecube: Flame me all you want, anybody, but I'm not going to deny myself just to make myself feel safe from people telling me to "get a life" (which my video games mostly occupy).
